The opportunity

 

 

Our Infrastructure Advisory team advises clients on financial, procurement, strategic and public-private partnerships issues for large-scale infrastructure projects and programs. Join this team and you will help provide support to out clients from the earliest stages of analysis, project evaluation to procurement, financial close, construction and operations. You will assist our clients in devising strategy, assessing economic impacts, comparing financial plans and delivery approaches for projects that involve public, federal or private financing; project revenues; and/or grants - and provide support to our clients in their implementation of those plans. 

 

We're looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Infrastructure Advisory team during a period of growth. As part of our Infrastructure Advisory team, you'll develop your commercial capabilities working with our high-profile public and private sector clients across Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland and around Asia.

About you
In your role as a Senior Consultant you will deliver solutions across the life-cycle of public and private infrastructure, and will involve:
•    Providing strategic, economic, commercial and financial advice to clients
•    Project finance including financial model development and analysis 
•    Liaising directly with client contacts
•    Developing detailed proposals and other Business Development material
•    Managing client engagement tasks, including billing, WIP and other administration
•    Providing mentoring, coaching and support to junior team members


We are looking for people with the following experience:
•    Advanced financial modelling skills
•    Good commercial acumen and general commercial skills including government sector experience
•    Business case, procurement methodology and strategy expertise for major infrastructure projects
•    Understanding of economic evaluation methods including cost benefit analysis and economic impact analysis
•    Excellent report writing, communication and presentational skills
•    Excellent interpersonal and client management skills
•    Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in teams
•    Enthusiastic work ethic and willingness to learn and get involved in new areas
•    Sector expertise considered desirable e.g. Government, Transport, Social Infrastructure

 

Key responsibilities:

•    As a member of our team you'll display a high level of technical competency in infrastructure advisory and also experience in business development. You will have strong relationship building, client delivery and engagement management experience for Global top-tier clients and/or on large scale infrastructure projects.
•    Being a trusted advisor, you'll identify and develop client and market growth opportunities and use your key subject knowledge to contribute to thought leadership for clients.
•    With a proven track record within a Big Four accountancy firm, an investment bank, a major consultancy practice, a specialist boutique, in industry or in Government you will have significant experience delivering solutions to support large scale infrastructure projects and program.
•    A key expectation of this role will be to build the firm’s capability to deliver Infrastructure Advisory solutions in Hong Kong, China and across Asia, leveraging capability developed in these or other markets 
•    This role will be based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate must also be willing and able to travel, when necessary.
•    Successful candidates must be committed to staying abreast of cutting-edge industry knowledge and economic trends, and have the ability to quickly anticipate and respond to the issues of a networked and constantly changing global economy.

 

Qualification and requirements
•    
A minimum of 4 years’ experience advising government and private sector clients on major infrastructure transactions, involving strategy, commercial and/or financial analysis and advice
•    Deep knowledge and relationships in one or more of the following sectors: Government, Transportation, Social Infrastructure, Power & Utilities, Sports, Arts & Culture.
•    Consulting and advisory experience in a client facing role (e.g. professional services firms, specialist boutique firms, and engineering or technical consulting firms).
•    Business proficiency in English and Chinese is preferred.
