The Markets function has an important role to play in helping achieve EY’s ambition to create long term value as the world’s most trusted, distinctive professional services organization. EY has embarked on a strategy refresh (NextWave) that will shape business transformation for the next few years. As part of this, People Advisory Services (PAS) is looking to take the AsiaPacific (APAC) PAS Markets strategy to the next level, to better serve our clients and prospects through distinctive marketing and communications that deliver measurable impact in terms of opportunities and revenue. 

The opportunity 
The APAC PAS Strategic Markets Lead role presents a unique opportunity to drive growth in our priority sectors and accounts through with a one-to-few account-focused lens. Working closely with the Markets, Solutions and cross service line Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) teams, as well as with the Markets and marketing teams of EY Alliance Partners - you will develop and lead campaigns across various channels. You will leverage global programs and content, initiate account-specific activities to build client relationships and pipeline, enhance EY reputation, and drive revenue growth.   
You will be a member of the APAC PAS Markets team and connected to Global PAS BMC team, an active collaborator and builder of strong linkages with the relevant sector and alliance communities.  
Your key responsibilities 
In this role, you will be required to build strong relationships and work collaboratively across Global, Area and Regions within BMC, Markets, Solutions Activation, EY Knowledge and the relevant account teams, including Business Development (BD). Key responsibilities include: 

  • Leverage market and account team intelligence to understand client strategies and issues 
  • Work with PAS account leaders (PAS ALs) and BD to map and identify key buyers and influencers to develop an engagement strategy that will build high impact relationships 
  • Strengthen EY brand by developing and/or promoting differentiated value propositions throughout the client lifecycle 
  • Develop and execute integrated campaigns to nurture client relationships, drive leads and sales pipeline 
  • Co-develop and operate a lead nurture program  
  • Team effectively across functions to leverage the best of EY in the development and implementation of account marketing programs, including global industry sector expertise, campaigns, and assets 
  • Work with our alliance and ecosystem partners to co-develop and market our distinctive offerings, and leverage their relevant assets as part of the lead nurturing program 
  • Work with global, area and regional media teams to develop an external communications strategy to raise the profile of EY PAS offerings and our key speakers  
  • Build a budget and business case for investment in marketing activities with a focus on long-term as well as short-term revenue generation Develop metrics to measure and track success 
  • Provide strong leadership in coordination with peers across Asia-Pacific regions to deliver activities as well as working closely with the Area Markets Leader to drive performance goals of delivering focus account value 

Skills and attributes for success 


  • Expertise in all stages of the marketing funnel – lead nurturing to ‘hand off’ to Sales 
  • Experience using Salesforce, Marketo, or other similar lead nurturing platforms; a ‘digital native’ 
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop and/or promote distinctive value propositions to key buyers and influencers to enable high-impact client discussions throughout the client lifecycle 
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills working with cross functional teams, clients, and alliance partners 
  • Assert own ideas and persuade others; gain support and commitment; mobilize people to take action; use creative approaches to motivate others to meet strategic goals for the account; engage with leaders effectively to gain sponsorship for strategies and activities 
  • Strategic and analytical thinking to problem solve in complex and/or uncertain situations 

To qualify for the role, you must have 


  • Strong teaming and consensus-building skills in a dynamic environment 
  • Substantial lead generation, business development or sales experience (10+ years) in a global professional services firm or other world-class B2B organization 
  • Experience developing value propositions
