The Opportunity

EY FSO Consulting is excited to be looking for professionals with deep understanding of EMPF/MPF experience, ideally gained from a role in Consulting which includes Strategic Transformation, Customer Experience, Pension schemes, Cloud solutions, and Data migration. The key experience required is a strong understanding of EMPF/MPF and the related processes, systems, technology platforms, risks and control environment. Your key responsibilities

  • Conducting in-depth analysis and facilitating discussions to elicit targeted business requirements that are fit for purpose and meet the needs of business stakeholders
  • Preparing comprehensive business requirements documents, ensuring alignment with operational best practice and Electronic Mandatory Provident Fund (eMPF) focus
  • Reviewing and dissecting 'As Is' processes, establishing necessary changes to define optimal 'To Be' processes, and driving business improvements through ongoing quality initiatives
  • Defining, managing and executing project plans with agreed timescales, in accordance with client specifications and eMPF requirements
  • Diligently following up on outstanding issues with business users and IT developers to ensure timely project completion and prompt resolution of change initiatives
  • Actively supporting Technical Analysts in the completion of technical specifications, solution design, and integration
  • Supporting all stages of testing to validate that implemented solutions meet agreed requirements, including defect management and addressing emergent change requests
  • Providing input into the development of training needs, procedures, and business readiness plans to ensure smooth implementation and minimize disruption with a focus on eMPF compliance
  • Managing post-implementation support in conjunction with the Project Manager, while continuously reviewing team working practices to identify opportunities for enhancing quality and productivity
  • Building strong internal relationships with EY Consulting Services and other service lines within the organization, as well as productive working relationships with client personnel
  • Performing daily fieldwork, informing supervisors of engagement status, and conducting client interviews, problem analysis, and advanced fact gathering
  • Preparing materials, leading and participating in workshops and meetings, and utilizing technology to learn, share knowledge, and enhance service delivery
  • Committing to the continuous development of eMPF knowledge and expertise, staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to better serve clients

 

 

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Possess Program Management capabilities on large transformation projects and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and demonstrated knowledge in Banking sector across core banking operations including: front, middle and back office, pillars of risk management, regulatory compliance, market infrastructure, Banking products and its value-added services

  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • A focus on eMPF compliance and integration, ensuring all projects and initiatives align with relevant regulations and industry best practices
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA and Confluence is strongly preferred

 

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor/ Master’s degree with an emphasis on Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Design, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering
  • At least 8-10 years of demonstrated experience in a finance transformation, ideally with consultancy. Candidates with less experience (minimum 5 years) will be considered as Senior Consultant.
  • Ability to lead project, communicate with client’s management and mentor junior team members
  • Develop project plan with clearly defined deliverables
  • Ability to translate client’s business needs into actionable plan
  • Strong analytical, logical, teamwork and organizational skills
  • Structural mindset with solid problem solving and research skills
  • Turn data into meaningful insights and transformative solutions
  • A solid team player with experience in managing projects
  • Deadline-driven, organized and able to multitask
  • Good command of English and Mandarin Chinese business language
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Endless curiosity and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Prior experience in the domain of consulting is an advantage
  • Thorough knowledge of best practice, administration processes and procedures is desirable, as is an in-depth knowledge of client and regulatory requirements and operational frameworks

  • A can-do spirit with intellectual curiosity and passionate to make a genuine difference while embedding meaningful, measurable change for clients
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, appropriate for senior executive level clients
  • Proven program and project management experience with ability to lead and mobilize cross-functional teams. Preference towards candidates with a track record in the provision of high-impact and -complexity programs
  • PMP or PRINCE II qualification is a plus
