The Opportunity

EY FSO Consulting is excited to be looking for a Senior Manager to join our team and lead our MPF/EMPF-focused team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in MPF/EMPF consulting and a proven track record of delivering high-quality consulting services to clients with deep consulting experience in the MPF/EMPF sector, ideally gained from a role in consulting which includes Strategic Transformation, Customer Experience, Pension schemes, Cloud Solutions, Data Migration. The key experience required is a deep, practical understanding of EMPF/MPF and the related processes, systems, technology platforms, risks, and control environment.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Work closely with the team in helping grow the competency and identify and execute the go-to-market approach and client coverage.
  • Lead the MPF/EMPF focused area of the business consulting practice and oversee client engagements
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the practice and expand our client base
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on MPF/EMPF-related matters, including scheme design, fund selection, investment strategy, and compliance
  • Conduct research and analysis to support client engagements and develop thought leadership content
  • Manage and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles
  • Developing and implementing a program schedule to meet project objectives within an agreed time frame. Gaining agreement to and monitoring project schedules. Ensuring change control mechanisms are put in place to manage project schedules
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, and identify opportunities to cross-sell other services offered by the firm
  • Successful delivery of assigned program of projects on time & on-budget
  • Working with project and team managers to determine project resource requirements (Number, Skills, and Duration)
  • Utilise an effective Change Control process to formally document agreed changes to Project scope, time or budget.
  • Effectively Manage Risks and Issues should they arise by working with your sponsor to develop effectively and implement as-needed risk management plans and contingency plans to minimise the consequence of adverse events.
  • Collaborate with other practice areas within the firm to provide integrated solutions to clients

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Possess Program Management capabilities on large transformation projects and strong analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated knowledge in EMPF/MPF sector across operations including front, middle and back office, pillars of risk management, regulatory compliance, market infrastructure, MPF/EMPF products and its value-added services.
  • Strong communication, presentation and technical writing skills to describe ideas, concepts and issues that involve interpretation, analysis and assessment of complex conceptual topics
  • Possess a self-starting attitude, an ability to think outside the box and thrive on new challenges
  • Ability to develop and manage teams with diverse backgrounds and skillsets to deliver exceptional quality to clients
  • A relationship builder and strong networking skills, both in the industry, internally and remotely across geographies within EY’s global community
  • Demonstrate relevant experience and skills to lead multiple proposals, EY point of views (POVs) and go-to-market material
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence is a plus

 

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor/ Master’s degree with an emphasis on Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Design, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience with 7+ Years of experience in MPF/EMPF related
  • Strong knowledge of MPF/EMPF-related regulations, scheme design, fund selection, investment strategy, and compliance
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to lead and mentor junior staff members
  • Proficient in the use of MS Project for project planning, tracking, and reporting
  • Should have the ability to take a pan-organizational and strategic view
  • Experience in business development activities, ideally for a Global Priority account, and demonstrable skills as well as relationships in the area
  • Strong understanding of leading and managing pursuit and proposal processes, with full lifecycle hands-on experience in running complex and strategic pursuits involving multiple service lines and jurisdictions
  • Good command of English and Mandarin Chinese business language an added plus
  • PMP or PRINCE II qualification is a plus

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, appropriate for senior executive-level clients
  • Proven program and project management experience with the ability to lead and mobilize cross-functional teams. Preference towards candidates with a track record in the provision of high-impact and -complexity programs
