The opportunity
This role offers the opportunity to transform wealth and asset managers, in response to the industry inflection point. We are looking for energised, motivated leaders with experience helping asset managers, asset owners, wealth managers, and asset servicers to help deliver on their strategic objectives with practical, far-sighted and innovative advice.
This is a strategic influencing role where you will provide the vision and direction for the asset and wealth management sector in accordance with EY strategy. You will be responsible for driving and developing market strategy, business development and overseeing the delivery of transformational work and change engagements, as well as managing and developing the team.

Your key responsibilities
As a valued leader you will be: -
- A subject matter professional for the Wealth and Asset Management sector providing sector and commercial experienced and knowledge
- Help Delivering Business Transformation change projects, leading mixed EY and client teams
- Collaborate with other competencies to identify cross team offerings to support EY clients with a broader offering
- Contributing to thought leadership to help ensure that appropriate and market led solutions are developed for our clients
Delivery:
- Leading the delivery of a range of client assignments, often managing diverse, multi-disciplined EY project teams or workstreams
- Supporting decision making at a senior level and demonstrate a track record of development success, overcoming various challenges.
- Engagement and risk management, quality assurance of deliverables, and ensuring EY frameworks are developed appropriately and effectively
Business Development:
- Sales and pipeline generation through actively identifying and progressing business development opportunities
- Managing sales activities such as proposal development and client presentations.
- Building and managing meaningful client relationships to grow EY market share, and strengthening repeat business through exceptional delivery
- Driving the build of EY solutions and methods
- Maintaining a consistently high and leading-edge market profile.
Practice Development:
- Contributing to practice management, e.g. knowledge sharing, training, proposition development, and knowledge management.
- Contributing to the development of EY thought-leadership content and associated Marketing Campaigns
- Developing the careers of the teams working with and reporting to you, as well as managing the performance of the team
- Being part of the leadership team in the practice
Skills and attributes for success
- Bring considerable experience of leading large change projects and transformation programmes, preferably within a consulting environment or a leading Wealth or Asset Management focused business.
- Strong understanding of the role of all the key players in the Wealth and Asset Management value chain and understanding of fund types, asset classes, and associated trading strategies
- Good understanding of front, middle and back office, and supporting third party service provider activities
- Knowledge of the industry trends, themes and challenges shaping the Wealth and Asset Management industry
- A structured approach to critical problem solving
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- The ability to learn new subject matter rapidly
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Strong professional experience in either consulting, wealth, asset management, or asset servicing
- Demonstrated ability to advise senior management on transformation solutions and risks with experience of presenting and influencing at a senior level
- An ability to develop and manage excellent relationships both internally and with clients at a senior level
- People coaching and mentoring experience
- A minimum of 14 years of project and programme delivery
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Industry recognised business, finance, IT or project management qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE 2, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, BPR, CIMA or CFA
- A good understanding of one or more of the following: Buy-Side front and middle office, risk, compliance, advice and financial planning, Operations, Alternatives or Asset Servicing
