The opportunity

The Finance Team works with clients to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their internal finance and accounting systems and processes. Finance team is designed to improve the performance of clients’ finance and actuarial organizations and their businesses. We help organizations to achieve strategic alignment of their finance and actuarial organizations, help implement service and cost improvement initiatives and embed a performance management process and culture that unites the business around its core objectives.

Your key responsibilities :

• Support implementation of new accounting standards (eg: IFRS17) or finance systems being involved in the data, system and process areas
• Perform data gap analysis of the source systems and propose the solutions for the identified gaps
• Prepare detailed data design/ functional specification document which includes the mapping from the source systems to the target IFRS17 calculation engine data fields
• Design the end to end data flow diagram for the client after understanding their system architecture
• Support development team on performing the mappings in SAP BW/4 HANA system using the functional specification documents
• Define the test approach and coordinate the SIT, UAT, E2E and dry run activities
• Design Target Operating model for the client which includes the target closing process, organizational structure, service model, system architecture
• Lead requirement gathering, data mapping, TOM workshop sessions for the client

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Technology/ Accounting related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance systems implementation/ process changes or SAP related engagements, where the experience of working for consulting firms and/or financial sector (banking and/or insurance) is preferred
• Good comprehensive understanding of Finance function
• Able to communicate with seasoned Finance professionals of EY clients confidently
• Experience in SAP modules such as –SAP BW/4 HANA, SAP GL, SAP BPC, SAP FPSL, SAP PaPM is strongly preferred
• Excellent command of spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
