The Next Frontier Market Activation (Associate Director) in Global Innovation is responsible for shaping and executing EY’s client-facing market engagement strategy for emerging technologies. This role focuses on elevating EY’s external presence and driving business development through strategic marketing initiatives, including flagship events, executive briefings, and webinars designed to engage clients and prospects. The position plays a key role in promoting EY’s leadership across frontier domains such as NextGen AI, Quantum Computing, and Physical AI.
Partnering across EY’s service lines and regions, the role translates innovation priorities into impactful business development programs that enhance market visibility, support relationship growth, and create new commercial opportunities. The Associate Director works closely with senior stakeholders to develop compelling narratives, coordinate cross-functional campaigns, and deliver client-facing experiences that position EY as a trusted advisor in emerging technology.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in strategic marketing, executive-level stakeholder engagement, and business development enablement, with a proven ability to create high-value events and digital programs for large audiences while turning complex technology topics into relevant and commercially compelling client conversations.

Essential Functions of the Job:
- Lead client-facing market engagement initiatives, including events, executive briefings, and webinars.
- Partner across service lines and regions to deliver marketing and business development programs tied to emerging technologies.
- Develop clear, compelling market narratives and thought leadership that enhance EY’s external presence.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute high-impact programs that support business growth.
- Measure success through participation, client engagement, and business impact.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
- Experience in strategic marketing, business development, and client-facing program execution.
- Ability to translate complex topics into clear, commercially relevant messaging.
- Interest in emerging technology trends and market opportunities.
Supervision Responsibilities:
- Works independently and leads cross-functional teams across regions and functions.
- May mentor junior team members as needed.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work across time zones in a virtual environment.
- Flexibility for occasional non-standard hours and travel.
Job Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in strategic marketing, business development, innovation, or related roles

Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary ranges. - We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $134,200 to $258,300. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $161,000 to $293,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
