Technology Risk Manager

The opportunity

Technology is transforming the way businesses operate. New technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), together with increasing amounts of data enabled by digitalization, create new opportunities but also introduce new risks. At EY Technology Risk, we provide independent assurance and advisory services related to IT risks and controls. Our engagements focus on IT audit and assurance as well as service organisation control reporting (e.g. according to ISAE standards). We also work on assessments of IT projects and migrations, IT systems and cyber security.

You are an important part of our energetic and fun technology risk team. Our team works with a flexible hybrid working model, where you, for the most part, can decide where to work. However, we do appreciate meeting you occasionally at our new and modern office in the heart of Helsinki.

Your Role Responsibilities

As a manager you will work on scoping and planning client engagements, developing work plans and serving as a fieldwork leader by directing the daily progress of fieldwork. Fieldwork in Technology Risk consists e.g. interviewing IT and finance personnel, analysing material and system settings, conducting control testing, documenting the work performed and preparing the reporting of audit findings to relevant stakeholders. An important part of your role is to establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships, communicating with stakeholders and managing team performance.

What we look for

• Matching experience, a few years of experience in IT audit or IT risk management.
• Suitable education, bachelors or master’s degree in economics, computer science, information systems, engineering, accounting, or a similar field.
• Good technical skills, MS Office, IT processes and governance, potentially knowledge in different OS’s, DB’s or programming languages.
• Fluent written and spoken Finnish and English.
• Great communication skills, self-oriented way of working habits and high motivation.
• An agile, growth-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.
• Curiosity, purpose-driven thinking, and a solution-oriented approach to challenges.
• An inclusive mindset that values diverse perspectives and fosters trust through collaboration.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Certifications, such as CISA
