The Opportunity: 

 

We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant/Manager to join our Financial Process Excellence team, a team within EY’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services.

As a member of the team, you will partner up with CFOs, their finance teams, and business functions to help them optimize their financial and non-financial processes and reporting. You will analyse the clients' existing business procedures and contribute with leading practice experience and potential solutions, ensuring that the proposed solutions align with the goals of the client's organisation. 

 

 

The key services we offer to our clients focus on following areas:

 

  • Defining and documenting finance and sustainability reporting processes
  • Solving specific financial process related challenges
  • Assessing risk management practices and internal controls
  • Planning and implementing finance operating model changes
  • Managing finance organization changes arising from mergers, acquisitions or divestitures, as well as IPOs
  • Supporting with financial technology assessment and implementation

Your responsibilities:

 

As a Senior Consultant/ Manager, you will be working in varying roles (e.g., project manager/ stream lead/ subject matter expert) in different types of projects covering a broad range of activities, such as:

 

  • Being responsible for project management activities to enable seamless project delivery 
  • Interacting with clients, facilitating client workshops, and preparing high-quality material for decision-making purposes
  • Coaching more junior team members to develop into future experts within the field of finance

 

Both senior consultant and manager positions are client facing roles. Managers have leadership role in project teams and are more involved also in EY internal business development and team building.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • For the role as a Senior Consultant, 3+ years of relevant work experience e.g., business controlling, accounting, finance, management consulting or auditing, including experience in project delivery roles
  • For the role as a Manager, 5+ years of relevant work experience e.g., business controlling, accounting, finance, management consulting or auditing, including experience in project management and challenging project delivery roles
  • Academic degree in the field of business e.g., accounting, finance or similar 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and preferably Finnish (though not a requirement). Other language skills are considered an asset
