We are strengthening our growing Transaction Law practice and are now looking for a new colleague to join our Transaction Law team in Helsinki. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or a lawyer with up to two years of relevant experience to build expertise in transaction law in an international and multidisciplinary working environment.

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you will work alongside experienced colleagues on client assignments related to domestic and cross-border transactions. Depending on your experience and development, your responsibilities may include:

• Support domestic and cross-border M&A transactions throughout the deal lifecycle, working closely with experienced transaction lawyers.
• Conduct and coordinate legal due diligence as well as assist in identifying and analyzing transaction-related legal risks,
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documentation,
• Assist with transaction execution, including signing and closing preparations, corporate approvals, and deal project management,
• Provide legal analyses to support client decision-making.

You will also collaborate closely with professionals across EY’s multidisciplinary and international network, providing exceptional opportunities to expand your own professional network and learn from experienced colleagues from EY’s various service lines.

Skills and attributes for success

• A completed Finnish Master of Laws degree or equivalent qualification 
• A recent graduate or up to two years of relevant experience in transaction law,
• Fluency in Finnish and English
• A commitment to delivering high-quality work with strong attention to detail
• A genuine interest in the business landscape
• Strong analytical, legal research and written communication skills 
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams.
• A keen interest in legal technology, AI-driven tools, and motivation to explore how technology can be used to create greater value for our clients and teams.
