The opportunity
Technology is changing the way businesses are operating. New technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, AI, provide businesses with the potential to deliver new services, operate in new markets, and to change the way they operate. Data generated from information systems is increasing rapidly enabled by digitalization. Associated with these opportunities come risks. We at EY’s Technology Risk team provide independent assurance and advice over diverse issues related to IT risks and controls. Our engagements focus on IT audit and assurance as well as service organisation control reporting (e.g. according to ISAE standards). We also work on assessments of IT programmes and migrations, IT systems and cyber security.
You are an important part of our energetic and fun technology risk team. Our team works with a flexible hybrid working model, where you, for the most part, can decide where to work. However, we do appreciate meeting you occasionally at our new and modern office in the heart of Helsinki.
Your key responsibilities
As a manager you will work on scoping and planning client engagements, developing work plans and serving as a fieldwork leader by directing the daily progress of fieldwork. Fieldwork in Technology Risk consists e.g. interviewing IT and finance personnel, analysing material and system settings, conducting control testing, documenting the work performed and preparing the reporting of audit findings to relevant stakeholders. An important part of your role is to establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships, communicating with stakeholders and managing team performance.
Skills and attributes for success:
- Relevant experience in IT audit/IT risk management, Information security, cybersecurity, etc.
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Accounting, or a similar field.
- Technical skills in MS Office, IT processes and governance, potentially knowledge in different Operating Systems, Data Bases or programming languages.
- Strong Communication (written and oral) skills in English. Fluency in Finnish is considered an asset.
- Innovative, agile, growth-oriented mindset and can thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
- You are curious and you can see opportunities instead of challenges, ask better questions to seek better answers.
- Inclusive mindset to embrace diverse perspectives, value differences, and team inclusively to build safety and trust.
Ideally, you’ll also:
- Have certifications, such as CISA
