We are now looking for a Communications Manager, with a particular focus on the Finnish market. Based in Helsinki, you will be part of a cross-Nordic team of 80+ dedicated brand, marketing and communications professionals, and other stakeholders in our 9,000-strong Nordic EY team.
The opportunity
As a Communications Manager, you will partner with leadership and peers to shape up strategy plans and create signature moments to engage our audience. At EY, we have a 360-degree perspective on all our communication, which means you will work together with the entire BMC team to create engaging communication that reaches the right target audience, including media, internal channels, social media, web, and employer branding activities.
You will also work closely with a team of Communications Managers in the Nordics and closely with colleagues in Finland. Together, you aim to achieve media coverage and build trust by highlighting EY's insights and services both internally and externally.
Your key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for national media.
- Drive the execution of local media and public relations initiatives by collaborating closely with leadership and professionals to enhance EY’s positive public profile.
- Develop and promote thought leadership in priority focus areas, ensuring alignment with the Nordic strategic direction.
- Manage crisis communications by providing guidance to spokespersons and management, and act as a media spokesperson when required.
- Create and publish PR-related content for digital platforms, including the company website and social media channels.

- Strategic mindset and experienced with integration of business priorities into communication plans.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and assignments under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage and align diverse stakeholder interests effectively.
- CuriousIty to leverage new Technologies and AI.
To qualify for the role, we expect you to have
- Master’s degree or equivalent
- At least seven years of experience in strategic and operational PR work, preferably from a larger company or agency.
- Experience in crisis communication.
- Excellent communication skills, speak and write fluently in English and Finnish.
