What we are looking for

We’re looking for an outstanding Business Development Associate to join our team. Ideal candidate will support the delivery of our market leadership strategy and business objectives through creative design that accurately reflects the firm’s brand and corporate identity. Display strategic insight into the business and communication needs of clients. Create strategically sound communication campaigns and winning business proposals. The candidate should enjoy working in a fast-paced, high energy environment and work effectively in a team environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Develops conceptual design and innovative ideas for client deliverables
• Think beyond visual interpretation to create a visual solution that is both strategic and creative within brand guidelines
• Focus on design and strategic execution of key winning business initiatives and creative conceptualization
• Effectively creates comprehensive layouts and design with strong typography and appropriate use of colour
• Interpret, understand the clients’ needs and objectives and develop a concept to suit these requirements
• Maintains awareness of “state-of-the-art” techniques, equipment, best practices and developments within the design community
• Liaise with the client on cost effective and innovative solutions
• Practice effective communication with clients throughout project
• Engage with the client through persuasive and diplomatic communication
• Present ideas to clients at all levels
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Prepare all work for production and work with external vendors independently with no supervision

Skills and attributes for success:

Candidate should have good knowledge and experience of the following:

• Superior knowledge and application of design and other software (Adobe Creative Suite,  Microsoft Office)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with people at all levels
• Excellent work ethic and the ability to thrive in a time-sensitive environment
• Good concept and design skills
• Strong portfolio
• Speed and accuracy are crucial to this position
• Extensive working knowledge of layout and printing process

Qualifications and experience required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and/or related discipline
• 1 or 2 years work experience in an agency is an added advantage
• Sound business, client, team and personal leadership skills including verbal communication and presentation skills
