The opportunity
Staff/Assistant – Valuation, Modeling and Economics (VME) – Hanoi Office
As a Staff focused on valuation, you will be an important part of our diversely talented, highly experienced VME team, and you will gain experience from working on a wide variety of assignments across our many clients. You will be responsible for participating and assisting in valuation and financial analyses and applying valuation theories and approaches, including researching and gathering relevant information; analyzing information; participating in the formulation of valuation approaches; developing valuation and other business models; and assisting in the preparation of valuation reports for a variety of purposes such as financial reporting, transactions, tax, and litigation.
Your key responsibilities:
- Assist Seniors/Managers to build the financial model in the business valuation for various purposes (e.g. M&A purpose, tax purpose, financial reporting purpose, purchase price allocation, etc.);
- Assist Seniors/Managers to review and build complex and dynamic financial models in various sectors to support clients in sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis and investment return analysis;
- Assist the audit team to review the valuation reports prepared by other valuers (e.g. property valuation reports, Purchase price allocation report, goodwill impairment review, etc.) as audit procedures;
- Discuss the assumptions that Clients are using in their business plan.
You are expected to:
- Ability to multi-task and actively work within project teams of varying sizes and skills
- Problem-solving skills
- An aptitude for identifying key issues, conducting research and developing valuation models
- Strong interpersonal, communication and report writing skills
- The ability to listen to clients and to address clients' needs
- An eagerness to develop and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and clients
Skills and Experience:
We are interested in candidates who have:
- Graduate degree in Economics, Finance, Audit, Banking;
- Strong accounting and financial background (with 2-3 year working experience in audit will be preferred);
- Working experience as M&A advisors, financial due diligence advisors will be a plus;
- Ability to build complex and dynamic financial models;
- Having good learning attitudes, diligence and paying attention to details;
- Experience working with public data sources and analyzing economic indicators
- Ability and flexibility to work alongside team members to ensure the timely completion of work deliverables;
- Excellent analytical, project management, multi-tasking, communication, organizational, teamwork and interpersonal skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
