Job title : Senior Manager

Job purpose

The Record to Report (RTR) Senior Manager will play a strategic leadership role in overseeing global and multi-country RTR operations for key engagements. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the RTR domain, along with strong team management and leadership skills. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive operational excellence and contribute to the strategic direction of our RTR services.

The successful candidate will showcase proficiency in leveraging RTR tools and technologies, including Blackline, Workiva, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, ServiceNow (SNOW), and Generative AI, to streamline RTR processes. Experience with various ERP environments, particularly SAP and Oracle, will be a significant advantage.

 

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership and accountability for delivering RTR services, ensuring excellence in financial reporting and compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Lead and mentor the RTR team in managing the general ledger, month-end close processes, reconciliations, journal entry processing, and financial reporting and analysis, with a strong commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of service management reporting metrics, utilizing operational and process insights to enhance performance and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage advanced RTR tools and technologies, such as Blackline, Workiva, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, ServiceNow (SNOW), and Generative AI, to optimize workflows, increase efficiency, and foster innovation within the RTR function.
  • Cultivate a positive team environment as a people leader, promoting growth, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards while maintaining 100% adherence to internal controls and established accounting policies.
  • Lead discussions with internal and external auditors, providing necessary information and support during audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices and adopting new technologies within the RTR function.
  • Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and communicate key findings to senior management.

Required Technical skills.

  • Excellent knowledge on RTR tools and technologies, including Blackline, Workiva, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, ServiceNow (SNOW), and Generative AI, to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation
  • Understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable accounting standards in line with Internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Understanding of compliance standards, including IFRS and US-GAAP, as well as audit protocols and control frameworks.
  • Experience utilizing dashboarding and reporting tools like Power BI and Tableau for performance reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent presentation skills and interpersonal abilities.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Preferred qualifications include CA, CPA, CWA, ACCA, Master’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent certification.
  • 14 to 18 years of relevant experience in the Record to Report function, with a minimum of 5 years in a Senior leadership or transformation role.
  • Effective people management skills.
  • Role may also require extended working hours during peak reporting periods.
  • Candidate may also be required to work in timezone which overlap with APAC and Europe inorder to facilitate collaboration with EY and Client stakeholders.
