Job purpose

The role will focus on end-to-end consolidation under IFRS, including complex transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, ownership changes, and multi-currency consolidation, along with configuration and optimization of consolidation processes in Yardi.

Key Responsibilities

IFRS Consolidation (Real Estate Focus)

• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements under IFRS, including disclosures and reporting packages
• Perform consolidation for complex real estate structures, including:
  • Acquisition accounting (IFRS 3)
  • Disposal accounting
  • Step acquisitions / changes in ownership (with and without change in control)
  • Share deal structures commonly used in real estate
• Conduct control assessment in accordance with IFRS principles
• Manage and validate:
  • Non-controlling interest (NCI) calculations
  • Currency Translation Adjustments (CTA)
  • Intercompany eliminations and equity pickup adjustments
• Analyze differences between:
  • Investment entities vs. real estate operational entities
• Review consolidation adjustments and ensure accurate IFRS reporting across group entities

Yardi Consolidation & System Expertise

• Configure and manage Yardi consolidation module, including:
  • Full consolidation rules
  • Equity pickup rules
  • Non-controlling interest (minority interest) configuration
  • Elimination rules
  • Currency translation rules (average, closing, etc.)
• Support setup and maintenance of:
  • Commitments and ownership structures in Yardi
  • Entity hierarchies and consolidation mapping
• Perform:
  • Data validation between local books vs. consolidation layer
  • Review of consolidation outputs and reporting extracts
• Troubleshoot and optimize system configuration for accurate consolidation outputs
• Collaborate with IT / system teams for enhancements and automation

Reporting & Process Management

• Lead preparation of:
  • Consolidated balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow
  • Notes to financial statements and disclosures
• Ensure consistency, audit readiness, and compliance with IFRS standards
• Drive process improvements in consolidation workflows and reporting
• Coordinate with fund controllers, auditors, and service providers

Required Skills & Experience

• Technical Expertise
• Strong hands-on experience in:
  • IFRS consolidation (minimum 3–6 years)
  • Real estate or private equity fund structures
• Deep knowledge of:
  • IFRS 10 / IFRS 3 / IAS 21
  • Acquisition & disposal accounting
  • Ownership changes and control assessment
  • CTA, NCI, and intercompany eliminations

System Skills (Highly Preferred)

• Proven experience with:
  • Yardi Consolidation Module
• Strong understanding of:
  • Consolidation rule setup (full, equity pickup, elimination, NCI)
  • Multi-currency consolidation mechanisms
  • Commitments and ownership structure configuration

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• High attention to detail and audit readiness mindset
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across geographies
• Proactive ownership and accountability

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant / ACCA / CPA
• Experience within Big 4 or similar advisory environment”
