Role: Associate Manager (SC3) / Manager (1/2)

 

We are seeking an experienced Manager – LCA to lead sustainability and ESG engagements, helping clients translate environmental data into business value. The role focuses on Life Cycle Assessment, decarbonization, regulatory compliance, ESG reporting, and digital sustainability solutions across FMCG, pharma, healthcare, food, retail, and consumer products industries.

 

The opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to help organizations lead LCA-driven sustainability engagements at the intersection of Sustainability and business strategy. Advise clients on ESG performance, regulatory compliance, decarbonization, and sustainability reporting while delivering high-quality, technology-enabled solutions.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), Product Carbon Footprints (PCF), and environmental impact studies
  • Develop LCA-, PCF-, and sustainability-driven business cases that quantify value creation opportunities across products, operations, supply chains, and investment decisions.
  • Collect, validate, and model environmental data using leading LCA tools, databases, and methodologies.
  • Identify and articulate the financial, operational, risk, and commercial benefits of sustainability initiatives, including cost reduction, revenue growth, resilience, and brand value enhancement
  • Enable clients to leverage LCA insights for sustainable product innovation, portfolio optimization, eco-design, circularity strategies, and low-carbon product development
  • Assess sustainability trade-offs and support strategic decision-making through scenario modeling, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and environmental impact analysis
  • Translate environmental performance metrics into actionable business strategies that drive competitive advantage, operational efficiency, and long-term enterprise value
  • Support the integration of sustainability considerations into product development, sourcing, supply chain, and capital investment decisions
  • Identify opportunities to reduce carbon emissions, improve resource efficiency, and accelerate sustainability performance.
  • Manage client engagements and act as a trusted advisor on sustainability, ESG, and climate-related topics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across sustainability, operations, supply chain, finance, technology, and risk functions.
  • Drive digital enablement initiatives for sustainability data management, reporting, and analytics.
  • Support proposals, client presentations, solution development, and pre-sales engagements.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • 10–12 years of experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), sustainability consulting, sustainable supply chain, or sustainability transformation roles.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Industrial Ecology, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience with LCA tools, sustainability data platforms, analytics, reporting, and digital sustainability solutions.
  • Proven experience leading client-facing sustainability, sustainable supply chain, climate, or value chain transformation engagements across industries.
  • Strong expertise in LCA, Product Carbon Footprinting (PCF), GHG accounting, decarbonization, circular economy, and sustainable product or supply chain strategies.
  • Experience leveraging LCA and sustainability insights to develop business cases, drive value creation, support product innovation, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Understanding of Digital Product Passport (DPP), product transparency, value chain traceability, and sustainable supply chain transformation.
  • Experience supporting ratings and sustainability performance programs, including EcoVadis, CDP, MSCI ESG Ratings, Sustainalytics, S&P Global CSA, and related assessment frameworks
  • Working knowledge of sustainability regulations and frameworks including CSRD, ESRS, CBAM, EUDR, PPWR, ESPR, GHG Protocol, and ISO 14040/14044.
  • Ability to translate complex sustainability, climate, and environmental data into executive-level recommendations, transformation roadmaps, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, client relationship, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience collaborating across operations, supply chain, procurement, finance, technology, product development, and risk functions.
  • Hands-on experience using AI, Generative AI, and digital tools in daily project delivery to accelerate analysis and automate reporting.

 

Preferred Certifications

  • ISO 14001 and/or ISO 50001 certification.
  • LCA certification (e.g. SimaPro or GaBi, Open LCA).
  • GHG Protocol, CDP, or carbon accounting certification.
  • GRI, CESGA, CSRD, or other ESG reporting certifications.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent sustainability credential.
