Job description

At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

Our global Risk Management (RM) function helps EY identify, monitor, and manage risks across our professional practice. The Digital RM team builds the systems, data foundations, and technology capabilities that enable better decision making and stronger risk insights.

You will join the RM Data Integration team, a global group responsible for integrating risk-related data, maintaining semantic structures, and supporting the data backbone for analytics, reporting, compliance, and process optimization.

As demand for integrated, high quality RM data continues to grow, we are expanding the team to increase capacity and accelerate our data modernization journey.

Role:   - Senior Associate – Data Integration

The opportunity

We have already established a core data warehouse with foundational semantic models which serves as the nucleus of our data integration landscape. As we continue to expand this platform and evolve toward a hybrid cloud architecture, we are growing the team to strengthen integration capabilities, improve data quality, and enhance the usability of RM data.

As a Senior Associate - Data Integration, you will work closely with experienced team members to expand and improve our RM data landscape.

Beyond technical implementation, this role is designed for individuals who want to understand how data represents business concepts and decisions. You will gradually build the ability to connect systems, interpret risk management processes, and contribute to shaping structured data based on real business needs.

This role sits at the intersection of data, systems, and business context — and is ideal for someone who is curious, asks questions, and is motivated to learn how data supports risk management in a global professional environment.

Your key responsibilities

  • Support the enhancement and extension of the RM data warehouse and existing semantic models
  • Integrate data from multiple internal systems to support reporting, analytics, and process automation
  • Assist in building and maintaining data relationships, mappings, and documentation
  • Contribute to data quality checks, validation logic, and standardization efforts
  • Collaborate with global RM teams to understand requirements and support translation into structured data
  • Support the development of hybrid cloud integration patterns and workflows
  • Help maintain metadata, documentation, and definitions to ensure clarity and consistency
  • Provide support to stakeholders by explaining data structures and assisting with data-related questions
  • Actively seek to understand the business meaning behind the data, not only its technical structure

What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)

  • You have contributed to integrating additional data sources into the RM data warehouse
  • You support improvements in data quality and consistency across selected RM processes
  • You have worked on semantic models and understand how they support reporting and analytics
  • You contribute to documentation, mappings, and definitions used by the team
  • You collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
  • You show growing confidence in understanding how data reflects business processes and decisions

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Curiosity to understand how data reflects real business processes and decisions
  • Willingness to learn beyond purely technical topics and engage with risk management concepts
  • Ability to ask the right questions when requirements are unclear
  • Clear and collaborative communication with global stakeholders
  • Structured approach to problem-solving and eagerness to grow into more ownership over time
  • Interest in working across both technical and business domains

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • University degree in Mathematics, Informatics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Initial experience (or strong academic exposure) in working with data (integration, modelling, or analysis), combined with an interest in understanding how data supports business processes
  • Basic understanding of SQL and willingness to further develop technical skills
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow in a data-driven role

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Exposure to Python, APIs, or ETL/ELT concepts
  • Interest in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS)
  • Basic understanding of metadata or semantic modeling concepts
  • Interest in risk, compliance, or governance topics

What working at EY offers

  • A role within a growing, globally connected data integration team
  • Opportunity to build both technical and business understanding in a risk management context
  • Supportive leadership, training, and structured development opportunities
  • Exposure to modern data architecture concepts, including hybrid cloud and Data Fabric
  • Flexibility in working style and a strong focus on work–life balance
