Senior Associate: UK- L2 Compliance - RM Enablement and Knowledge & Learning

Risk Management team at EY plays an important role in managing the internal risks of the firm associated with accepting a new client or an engagement or risks associated with any of our on-going audit / non audit engagement. Formed in the Year 2007, the Risk Management team is growing rapidly as a Center of Excellence for all standardized quality / compliance related activities that can be efficiently undertaken from Global Delivery Services location. 

 

The opportunity

 

The team supports Global Risk Management in rapidly deploying professionals on ad-hoc, outcome-based projects as well as acts as an incubator for new RM services. It is an extension of the onshore RM teams and helps in streamlining existing processes, onboarding new opportunities, designing end-to-end processes, and managing specific project activities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a point of contact & gathering/compiling documentation from the business for various risk management compliance processes. This includes sending out documentation requests, chasing missing documents, compiling information and reviewing for completeness and data input.
  • Reporting:
    • Enabling the leadership reports using MS Excel, PowerBi and PowerPoint
    • Agility with large amounts of data, creation of presentations with ability to validate data accuracy by performing spot checks and reviews
    • Creating & Updating Dashboards
  • Researching external articles on various Risk Management Topics to prepare risk reports for UKI leadership.
  • Coordinating and providing input into the risk management compliance framework processes for risk assessments, compliance reviews and new technology solutions (i.e., design and development of MI reporting tools, power apps, SharePoint etc.,) 
  • Reviewing submissions from client teams and evaluates completeness, accuracy and appropriateness of proposed transaction/requests.
  • As a future state, the individual may provide support on the Supplier Due Diligence (SDD) process.
  • Individual is expected to apply judgment to initial consultations and/or submission review and rapidly develop understanding of key requirements of firm and regulator’s RMS rules and policies

Skills and attributes for success

 

Essentials

 

  • Graduate with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Candidates with exposure to handling international customers/client interaction.
  • Absolute fluency in spoken and written English; excellent listening comprehension skills
  • Highly motivated with ability to perform well under pressure; with proven ability to successfully complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate research skills and knowledge of databases
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, PowerBi)

 

Preferred

 

  • Exposure to Vendor/Supplier Due Diligence framework & Research/Compliance processes
  • Ability to operate and flex in an ambiguous and changing environment to respond to emerging priorities.
  • Experience of working as per deadlines and delivering high quality output & working in a fast-moving, global client-driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently with well-developed problem-solving skills and understanding of processes.
