Data Integration Specialist
Job description
At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.
We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go.
Join EY and help to build a better working world.
Our global Risk Management (RM) function helps EY identify, monitor, and manage risks across our professional practice. The Digital RM team builds the systems, data foundations, and technology capabilities that enable better decision‑making and stronger risk insights.
You will join the existing RM Data Integration team, a growing global group responsible for integrating risk-related data, maintaining semantic structures, and providing the data backbone for analytics, reporting, compliance, and process optimization.
As demand for integrated, high‑quality RM data continues to grow, we are expanding the team to increase capacity and accelerate our data modernization journey.
Role: Senior Data Integration Specialist
Function: Executive Risk Management
Sub Function: RM Infrastructure
The opportunity
We have already established a data warehouse with foundational semantic models, which currently serves as the nucleus of our data integration landscape. Our next strategic step is to transform this foundation into a hybrid cloud architecture, combining on‑premises capabilities with modern cloud services to support scalability, performance, and advanced analytics.
As a Senior Data Integration Specialist, you will play a key role in:
- expanding and strengthening our existing data integration structures
- supporting the evolution toward a hybrid cloud–enabled Data Fabric
- improving the quality, connectivity, and usability of RM data across EY
- enabling global teams to make better, faster, and more reliable risk decisions
This role sits at the intersection of data modeling, integration, and business context — ideal for someone who enjoys connecting systems, structuring information, and shaping data foundations.
Your key responsibilities
- Enhance and extend the existing RM data warehouse and semantic models
- Integrate data from multiple internal systems to support RM reporting, analytics, and process automation
- Build and maintain data relationships, metadata, and documentation that provide clarity and consistency
- Support the development of hybrid cloud integration patterns and help operationalize them
- Collaborate with global RM teams to gather requirements and translate business concepts into semantic data structures
- Implement data quality checks, standardization rules, and validation logic
- Help shape the future Data Fabric approach through contributions to metadata management, taxonomy alignment, and integration design
- Provide stakeholders with clear explanations and guidance on data access, meaning, and usage
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)
- You have expanded integration coverage in the existing data warehouse
- You have contributed to the design and setup of hybrid cloud integration workflows
- Data quality and consistency in key RM processes show measurable improvement
- You’ve delivered new semantic models that enhance reporting and reduce manual work
- Stakeholders across regions actively use your structures and documentation
- You are a trusted partner for both business and technology teams in RM
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to translate business questions into structured data models
- Clear and confident communication with global stakeholders
- Curiosity to explore new tools, technologies, and integration approaches
- Collaborative approach and willingness to work across time zones
- Practical problem‑solving orientation — finding effective, workable solutions
To qualify for the role, you must have
- University degree in Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience working with data integration, data modelling, or data quality
- Understanding of how data supports business processes
- Familiarity with SQL and willingness to deepen your technical skillset
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Exposure to Python, C#, APIs, or ETL/ELT tooling
- Experience with hybrid cloud concepts (Azure, AWS, etc.) — or interest in learning
- Understanding of metadata management or semantic modeling
- Background in risk, compliance, or professional services (optional)
What working at EY offers
- A role within a growing, globally connected data integration team
- Opportunity to help shape EY’s hybrid cloud data architecture for RM
- Supportive leadership, training, and career development opportunities
- Flexibility in working style and a strong focus on work–life balance
- A comprehensive Total Rewards program, including benefits tailored to your needs
