Data Engineering & Analytics Support
The Opportunity
As a Data Engineering & Analytics Support – Associate at EY, you will be part of the Data Strategy team, supporting the development, enhancement, and operation of data and analytics solutions for Clients & Industries (C&I) and select EY wide data assets. This role focuses on hands on delivery and support of data pipelines, analytics platforms, and AI enabled use cases. You will work closely with Supervising Associates and technical leads to help ensure reliable, scalable, and insight ready data that enables business teams to innovate and make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support problem solving and solution delivery with a hands on, execution oriented mindset and curiosity about data.
- Assist in the build, maintenance, and enhancement of data pipelines that provide quality data for analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases.
- Help extract and transform data from multiple EY tools using defined standards and reusable patterns.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of integration tools, databases, data warehouses, and analytical systems.
- Apply working knowledge of APIs and data sharing technologies to support data connectivity across platforms.
- Prepare and manage analysis ready datasets, including basic data transformations and metadata updates.
- Support the use of AI and Large Language Models to generate summaries, insights, and improve analytics workflows under guidance.
- Assist in maintaining data warehouses and data marts.
- Monitor data pipelines and connected systems, performing basic troubleshooting and issue resolution, escalating where required.
- Follow and apply data security, privacy, GDPR, and information security guidelines.
- Support analytics teams in translating data outputs into business friendly insights and reports.
- Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations to communicate analytical results.
- Assist in identifying data quality issues and optimization opportunities through structured analysis.
- Stay informed about emerging data, analytics, and AI technologies relevant to the team.

Technical Expertise
- Working knowledge of SQL and Python for data querying, transformation, and pipeline support.
- Hands on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or Spotfire.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and Azure Data Factory.
- Familiarity with data integration, data modelling concepts, and basic performance considerations.
- Exposure to Alteryx is preferred but not mandatory.
