The primary role of an Advanced Analyst in COE is to support EY’s clients in reviewing, analysing and updating client tax compliance information in client’s system of records, review any changes from time to time, provide necessary support to related teams like tax reporting, with-holding, posting Journal entries, etc. and help Seniors/Managers manage relationships with the client working world for our people, for our clients and for our communities.

 

What we do

A Tax Staff will work with teams of other Analysts / Seniors and will be responsible for client service delivery for multiple clients, geographies, area or specialization.

Your knowledge and experience:

  • Required qualification: B.Com / BBA /M. Com/ MBA in Finance, etc.
  • You should have 0-5 years’ of experience working with major global corporation /Big 4/Finance shared services/Banking etc
  • Bank/Financial Institutions Knowledge: Products, services, IRS regulations, Indirect Tax Operations
  • Proficiency / Knowledge of tax technical skills relevant to Withholding Tax, GST, Stamp Duty, Financial Transaction Tax (FTT) etc. are desirableDemonstrates in-depth knowledge across a broad range of transaction taxes, including Stamp Duty, FTT, GST, and WHT, etc.
  • Experience in any of the below tax type is a desirable and will be an added advantage:

 

Your role-based skills and attributes

 

Client responsibilities - 

  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge across a broad range of transaction taxes, including Stamp Duty, Financial Transaction Tax (FTT), Goods and Services Tax, and Withholding Tax, etc.
  • Demonstrate proficiency of tax technical knowledge relevant to international indirect tax; demonstrate an understanding of more complex technical issues
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles with hands-on experience, transaction-level reconciliations, coupled with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, client-facing environment while managing multiple deliverables and tight timelines.
  • Good understanding of books of accounts and accounting principles, including preparation and review of journal entries in designated accounting applications.
  • Well versed in trading concepts and market instruments, including equities, options, and derivatives.
  • Strong advanced Excel skills with good command over other MS Office tools, including Word and PowerPoint.
  • Hands-on exposure to AI and automation initiatives, with the ability to identify opportunities for process optimization.
  • Adapting expertise with the changing environment. Ensure quality of delivery and timeliness. Capable of handling / delivering under high work pressure. Willingness to learn and gain new ideas and technology.
