The opportunity
Through our comprehensive and tailored legal advisory services, combined with our strong network across EY's Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, and Consulting practices, we help our clients navigate the future. We advise both national and globally operating companies on a broad range of legal matters.
Take on your next professional challenge and become part of our unique Europe West Law team, supporting exciting projects every day. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to our growing real estate practice, working on matters at the intersection of corporate transactions, real estate law and commercial advisory.
Your key responsibilities
- Advise domestic and international clients on corporate and M&A transactions as well as commercial law matters
- Support transactions and projects in the real estate sector, including acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial leases and selected regulatory or administrative law matters
- Develop and implement corporate restructuring projects at both national and international levels
- Support M&A transactions from start to finish, including conducting legal due diligence, participating in contract negotiations, and preparing and finalizing transaction documentation
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts and legal documents, particularly share and asset purchase agreements, financing agreements, shareholders' agreements, and joint venture agreements
- Monitor relevant legislative developments in corporate, real estate and commercial law and translate them into practical recommendations to ensure compliance
- Collaborate across disciplines by supporting other legal practice areas as needed, including Employment Law, Private Clients, and Intellectual Property
- Be involved in exciting, complex, and international projects from day one, working directly with specialists across EY service lines and with clients
Skills and attributes for success
- A master's degree in law and admission to the bar are required; international postgraduate qualification (e.g., LL.M.) is an advantage
- Exposure to transactional environment is a plus
- Strong project management capabilities and ability to manage multiple stakeholders (clients, tax, corporate, public authorities)
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in a law firm, consulting services firm, or in-house legal department. If you have less experience but are highly motivated and eager to learn quickly, we would still like to hear from you!
- Interest or previous experience with real estate related matters, as well as a keen interest in legal technology and AI-driven solutions, are both considered a plus
- Flexible team player with a proactive, structured, solution- and business-oriented mindset and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, with very good French and English language proficiency; German is considered as an asset
