EY's Financial Services Organization (FSO) is dedicated exclusively to the financial services marketplace. Within our insurance practice, we work with leading insurers, reinsurers and insurance intermediaries to solve complex business challenges, drive transformation and deliver sustainable growth.

 

We are seeking experienced General Insurance (Non-Life / Property & Casualty) professionals with deep expertise across insurance operations – i.e. underwriting, claims, pricing, reinsurance and/or distribution. This role is intended for candidates with strong General Insurance industry experience and is not targeted at actuarial professionals.

 

As a Manager/Senior Manager, you will work directly with senior client stakeholders, lead strategic and transformation engagements, and help shape the future of the insurance industry across Singapore and the wider region.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the delivery of insurance-focused consulting and advisory engagements.
  • Advise insurance clients on business strategy, operating model transformation and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Support clients in enhancing General Insurance underwriting, claims, reinsurance, distribution and operational capabilities.
  • Drive large-scale transformation programmes, including process optimisation, target operating model design and technology-enabled change.
  • Conduct stakeholder workshops and present recommendations to senior executives and business leaders.
  • Manage project teams and provide coaching and development to junior team members.
  • Support business development activities, including proposals, client pursuits and relationship management.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and market-leading initiatives within the insurance sector.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

 

  • Manager: Minimum 7 years of relevant insurance industry experience.
  • Senior Manager / Director: Typically, 10+ years of relevant insurance industry experience.
  • Experience gained within the General Insurance (Property & Casualty) industry, including Commercial Lines / Personal Lines / Specialty Insurance / Reinsurance / Insurance Broking
  • Deep expertise in one or more of the following General Insurance disciplines: Commercial Underwriting / Personal Lines Underwriting / Claims Management / Reinsurance / Product Development / Insurance Distribution / Broker Management / Insurance Operations / Customer Experience & Service Delivery / Portfolio Management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.

 

Ideally, You'll Also Have

 

  • Experience leading transformation or change initiatives within insurance organisations.
  • Exposure to digital transformation, data analytics or technology implementation programmes.
  • Previous consulting, advisory or project-based experience.
  • Established network within the insurance industry.
  • Experience supporting sales, proposals or business development activities.
