As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the executing key HR activities focused on leadership, end to end recruitment, drive performance evaluation, employee support and conflict resolution. Key roles and responsibilities:

Recruitment:

 

  • Manage the end to end recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews and on-boarding new hires.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.

        

                 Employee Support & Wellness Initiatives:

 

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and HR policy-related inquires, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Assist in organizing and implementing wellness initiatives, including health awareness programs and mental health support.
  • Monitor and report on employee well-being, firm culture, and engagement trends, providing insights to leadership.

        

                  HR Administration and Policy Execution:

 

  • Oversee and manage HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records and processing HR documentation.
  • Support the execution of HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and transparency across service lines.
  • Assist in workforce planning, scheduling interviews, coordinating talent-related initiatives as required.
  • Collaborate with the Talent team and leadership to execute projects and initiatives as required.

  • Strong administrative and coordination skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building abilities to engage with employees, leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Proactive problem-solver with a keen understanding of HR policies, compliance and best practices.
  • Passionate about talent development with an interest in enhancing the employee experience.
  • Emotionally resilient and solution-focused, able to handle employee concerns and complaints with professionalism.

   

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences or any other related field
  • Minimum 6 – 10 years relevant HR experience, preferably HR generalist functions.
  • Familiarity with employment legislation, HR processes and talent acquisition best practises.
  • Sound business, client, team and personal leadership skills including verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and prior experience in attracting and engaging contractors, students and 

experienced hires using a variety of recruitment resources. 

  • Strong strategic-thinking skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders

on best practices. 

  • Consultative approach to client relationships, serving as a trusted talent advisor on the external candidate 

pipeline. 

  • Expertise in creative sourcing techniques and a solid understanding of IT and technology-related roles. 
  • Ability to adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLA) of 24-48 hours for delivering sourced candidate profiles

to hiring teams. 

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with applicant tracking software; 

willingness to learn AI-driven tools and platforms. 

  • Experience working with African talent markets in a professional services context. 
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects. 
  • Strong reporting and data analytical skills. 
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
