Senior Manager – GCR WAM SALT – FSO

Aligned to key industry groups—including asset management, private equity, banking and capital markets, and insurance—we provide integrated assurance, consulting, strategy & transactions, and tax services to our clients. The Opportunity

 

We are seeking Senior Managers with deep expertise in state and local tax to join our expanding tax service delivery team in Freeport, Grand Bahamas. EY’s FSO tax practice provides comprehensive, specialized tax assistance tailored to the asset management industry. As a Senior Manager, you will oversee tax professionals with expertise in hedge fund, private equity fund, real estate, and mutual fund taxation

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and coordinate complex tax compliance and advisory engagements for high-profile clients, focusing on state and local tax strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Oversee tax compliance accounts for hedge funds, private equity funds, and real estate funds, ensuring rigorous review of state tax adjustments, and sign-off on K-1s and state and local partnership tax returns.
  • Direct day-to-day operations across multiple accounts and locations, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop managers, seniors, and staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

To Qualify for the Role You Must Have

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business discipline, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant tax experience; or advanced degree in tax or law with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
  • CPA (or equivalent internationally recognized accounting designation), Enrolled Agent, and/or LLM certification required.
  • Significant experience serving clients in the wealth & asset management and/or real estate industries
  • Broad exposure to federal income taxation and advanced expertise in state and local tax.
