Are you a strong leader ready to drive innovation in the public sector's risk management? EY is looking for a Senior Manager with public sector experience, ideally in the infrastructure and energy sectors, to join our mission in building a better working world. With your deep understanding of public sector and risk management, you will be instrumental in elevating our risk practice across the Nordic region. Your expertise will not only propel our clients' success but also contribute to societal well-being by enhancing trust and confidence in public institutions and promoting resilient and responsible governance.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Manager specializing in public sector risk, you will lead the charge in managing and mitigating risks for our government and public sector clients. Your role will involve strategic leadership, complex problem-solving, and driving innovation. You will steer teams through intricate risk assessments and control frameworks, ensuring compliance and resilience against the unique challenges faced by the public sector. While based in Denmark, this role will also have you collaborating across the Nordics, with opportunities for travel and engagement with clients throughout the region.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a leader who not only possesses extensive expertise in public sector risk management but also upholds our values of integrity, respect, and teamwork. We appreciate professionals who are client-centric, visionary, and eager to challenge conventional approaches to deliver groundbreaking solutions.

Above all, we value working with people who are driven, curious, skilled, proactive and pleasant to work with.

Additionally, we imagine you’ll bring to the table:

•    A minimum of 8 years of experience within or working with the public sector, ideally with experience in infrastructure or energy.

•    A strong network in the named areas.

•    Strong enterprise risk management and mega-projects understanding.

•    Solid knowledge of the Danish political system, government and public sector

•    Proficiency in Danish and English, with exceptional communication skills to operate effectively at senior levels within public institutions, and in an international working environment.

•    Strong analytical skills and the ability to distill complex risks into clear, actionable strategies.

•    Driven and curious, with a strong desire to learn and grow.

•    Skilled in their field, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

•    Pleasant to work with, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Ideally, you’ll also have

•    Direct experience working within or consulting for the public sector

•    A passion for continuous learning and staying abreast of public sector trends, regulations, news and challenges.

What we offer

•    Continuous learning: You’ll develop the mindset and skills to navigate whatever comes next.

•    Success as defined by you: We’ll provide the tools and flexibility, so you can make a meaningful impact, your way.

•    Transformative leadership: We’ll give you the insights, coaching and confidence to be the leader the world needs.

•    Diverse and inclusive culture: You’ll be embraced for who you are and empowered to use your voice to help others find theirs.
