Financial Controller

The Opportunity

 Become a Financial Controller at EY and take on a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our organization. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while delivering strategic insights that drive informed business decisions. We seek a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in financial management and reporting, a sharp attention to detail, and the capability to oversee and direct the organization's financial activities.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with other departments (Nordics) to provide financial support and guidance for various projects and initiatives.
• Stay up-to-date with accounting standards, IFRS, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
• Master’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a similar field.
• CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a medium/large-sized corporation.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP).

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

• Experience in managing cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of international financial regulations and compliance.
• Proven track record in financial management and reporting.
• Experience in coordinating external audits and managing financial compliance.
