(Junior) Frontend Developer - People Advisory Services (f/m/d)

Your role

By joining the Service Line People Advisory Services, you will become part of a growing, international team working on compliance-related software solutions in the context of Short Term Business Travel. As a Frontend Developer, you will contribute to the development and evolution of user-facing applications used by multinational clients. You will help translate business requirements into intuitive, high-quality user interfaces, working closely with technical and business stakeholders. You will typically work on the following topics:

• Developing and enhancing frontend applications based on SAP UI5, using modern web technologies such as JavaScript and TypeScript
• Implementing user interfaces that are intuitive, performant and aligned with usability and UX principles
• Integrating frontend applications with backend services via RESTful APIs
• Contributing to the modernization and continuous improvement of existing frontend code, focusing on maintainability and scalability
• Working closely with relevant internal and external stakeholders to implement end-to-end features
• Supporting the team in operating and improving build, deployment and runtime processes in a cloud environment
• Gradually taking ownership of frontend components and topics

Your skillset

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with developing frontend applications and integrating them with backend services
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and frontend-backend interaction
• Solid understanding of Git for version control
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Azure DevOps or comparable platforms is a plus
• Commitment to code quality, including testing, maintainability and clean UI architecture
• Basic understanding of SCRUM and agile development methodologies
• Ability to work in a Linux or Unix-based environment (WSL)
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g. Bash) is a plus
• Familiarity with SAP UI5 is a plus
• Strong understanding of UX principles and an eye for usable, intuitive user interfaces
• Strong willingness to learn, grow and take ownership in a modern frontend and cloud-oriented setup
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
