Drawing on your knowledge and experience, you will provide innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership. You will also actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives. Your key responsibilities 

  • Conduct equity research, industry research, management interviews and site visits; analyze information obtained from various channels and prepare valuation reports.
  • Prepare proposals and present valuation reports to clients.
  • Review and analyze valuation reports issued by other firms in order to assist audit teams on projects associated with fair value measurements.
  • Develop and analyze complex financial models and perform financial analyses (historical performance review, financial forecast and free cash flow analysis).
  • Appraise company or asset values using the income approach, market approach or asset-based approach for transaction, financial reporting or tax purposes.
  • Work closely with clients, targets and other professionals in the financial due diligence, legal, tax and valuation fields.
  • Provide valuation advisory support to clients during discussions on transactions.
  • Other cognate duties.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Develop and review of financial models for purposes including strategic planning; mergers and acquisitions; investment appraisal; financial accounting and tax planning.
  • Identify issues and propose strategies related to the procedures executed.
  • Stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client's business.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members.
  • Demonstrating in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge
  • Maintaining long-term client relationships and networks.
  • Use current technology and tools to innovate and enhance the effectiveness of services provided and act as a leader in adopting new tools and techniques.

 

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting;
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or Part qualified (or international equivalent such as CFA/CPA) 
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting or auditing experience
  • Experience with a venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, or national accounting firm; or relevant corporate, experience in a financial modeling practice is preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience of working in a team/project management.
