Join the Strategy and Innovation team at EY Parthenon Mauritius! We bring a disruptive and design-led approach to strategy consulting, working with global executives from Europe, Middle East, India and Africa across various sectors including financial services, consumer goods, healthcare, transportation, SMEs and the public sector.
The Opportunity
As an associate consultant, you will have the unique opportunity to work directly with our private and public sector clients to solve their most strategic challenges and contribute to impactful projects that shape industries.
You will bring your skillset to a multidisciplinary and global team which combines backgrounds across business, engineering, finance and molecular biology and brings experiences from the UK, Ghana, France, Canada, Singapore and the Silicon Valley. You will also belong to our wider team of EY experts which we work closely with every day.
Your role is to support this team, bring quality skills e.g. presentation, listening, analysis and time management to our team’s effort. You will have the opportunity to grow and lead your own projects with clients.
Here are some of the challenges that you might work on:
- Helping local SMEs boost their know-how and craft an export strategy into the African continent
- Designing employee experience to make payday truly rewarding for a global company
- Improving the experience of insurance customers after an accident
- Exploring the future of mobility and transport in Mauritius to help local businesses anticipate and navigate upcoming changes
- Helping a city municipality improve citizen satisfaction with repairs, building permits, fines, etc
- Exploring ways in which a major bank can diversify earnings away from interest income
- Running a hackathon to test how AI can be applied to solve client problems
About You
To start, the following must be true:
- You must have at least one year of working experience (good internships count!)
- You must be a citizen, resident, or have work authorization in Mauritius

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for supporting our client engagements, from business development to project delivery.
- Research: Conduct primary and secondary research, gathering information on industries, companies, and end-users
- Analyse: Synthesise information from multiple sources to test hypotheses, develop recommendations and weave a coherent narrative
- Create: Prepare reports and presentations that will be delivered to clients
- Workshop: Participate in brainstorming sessions and workshops
- Project Management: Apply an Agile-inspired approach to managing projects
- Occasional travel across EMEIA might be required
- Other cognate duties

Your Qualifications:
- You have at least a 2:1 bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Social Science from a recognised academic institution.
- You have one year or more of work experience in strategy consulting, finance or on strategic analysis, transformation or innovation within a corporate setting (good internships count!)
- You have experience leading teams to achieve successful outcomes (e.g., as a club president, in a sports team, or at school or work).
- You must be a citizen, resident, or have work authorization in Mauritius
