Join the Strategy and Innovation at EY Parthenon, based in Mauritius, serving Financial Services clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. We bring an entrepreneurial, disruptive and design-led approach to strategy consulting.

In this role, you will be supporting different projects for our clients, performing research, analysis, customer presentations and marketing activities to build new relationships.

About you

To start, all of the following must true:

• You have worked at a Bank, a Fintech or Insuretech, or an Insurance Company before
• You have at least one year of experience (we are hiring at all levels!)
• You have work authorization in Mauritius, or you are already a resident

• Re-imagine how customers interact with a Bank or Insurance company
• Architect a simplified digital onboarding process, eliminating human error and human effort
• Build a plan to create new revenue streams for a Digital Bank
• Conceive and test new innovations with wealth management customers

We are recruiting consultants to join our team in Mauritius, and work across Africa to consult with our Financial Services clients.

Here’s what it takes

You will be responsible for supporting our client projects, from business development, to project delivery.

 Your average day with us:

• Research: Conduct written primary and secondary research on industries, companies, and end-users.
• Analysis: Synthesise complex information from multiple sources into a coherent narrative
• Communication: Build trust with clients through written Powerpoint and oral presentations, professional reports and other communications.
• Project Management: Apply an Agile-inspired approach to managing projects.
• Business Development: Organize sprints, hackathons, and innovation challenges on behalf of clients.
• Team building: Actively participate in building a high-powered team that learns and grows together.
• Travelling: You may travel across Europe, the Middle East and Africa to meet clients where they are.

Are you our Financial Services Innovator?

• You are a Financial Services native. You understand and can speak to Cost to Serve, drivers of non-interest revenue, option pricing, loss ratios, re-insurance, ROE and other concepts fluently
• You are well organized. Your work is neat. You schedule your work with enough time to perform a quality job. You are aware of all projects that you are working on and the time that they need. You are aware of other people and what they need to do to make your work even better.

Qualifications:

• You have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Social Science.
• You have one year or more of work experience in a Bank, Insurance Company, Fintech or similar*.

* If you are a fresh graduate, your internships might count as work experience.

• You have experience leading teams to achieve successful outcomes (e.g., as a club president, in a sports team, or at school or work).
• You are based in Mauritius and you can work here.
