Your Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility will be to plan, lead and monitor medium to large programs or projects for our clients in Mauritius or outside Mauritius. This will involve interacting at operational/senior level with client staff, managing multiple projects, and leading teams of EY personnel. You will be stretched to learn about program/project management domains, sometimes as they evolve, work across a broad range of clients in multiple sectors, and deal with complex and demanding issues.
Other responsibilities include:
- Define customised program/project management frameworks for clients considering their industries and context
- Define adapted policies and procedures for program/project management
- Be responsible for the day-to-day management of programs/projects defining and managing scope, budget, timeline, risk and quality amongst others using traditional or agile methodologies
- Maintain project plans, anticipate project risks and create mitigating plans
- Lead project teams consisting of multi-functional, regional and/or virtual groups and directly supervises staff, ensuring the appropriate expectations, principles, structures, tools and responsibilities are in place to deliver the plan and deliver excellence
- Facilitate meetings and committees
To quality for this role, you must have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, and other related fields. STEM degrees will also be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience (for seniors) and 6 years (for managers).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Microsoft Project
- Worked on technology implementation projects (end-to-end or on key phases)

In addition, the following are critical for success:
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Adaptable to an agile and flexible working style with continuous learning
- Ability to work independently leveraging on EY’s extensive knowledge databases and seeking support where required
- Ability to maintain excellent client relationships and manage expectations
- Maintain high quality outcomes and deliverables underpinned by a keen attention to details
- Build relationships with colleagues across teams (including other EY offices), supporting them and promoting a diverse and collaborative culture
- Adhering to EY’s policies and practices
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Have an industry certification such as Program Management Professional (PgMP), Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 or other similar certifications
- Knowledge in using project management tools such as Jira
