EY-Parthenon Experienced Associate, Valuation and Modelling (Financial Services Sector)

The opportunity

We currently have an opening for an Experienced Associate with a focus on Valuations and Modelling to join our team within the Financial Services sector.

Your key responsibilities

• Deliver engagements for financial services clients across Asia.
• Build strong working relationships with senior clients, providing influence, advice, and support to key decision-makers.
• Participate in and lead sales opportunities with senior team members and clients, assist in preparing proposal documents, and build client relationships at all levels as part of your career development.

Skills and attributes for success

• Proficiency in Valuation and Financial Modelling, with a proven ability to create robust and flexible financial models based on clients' financial and operational information.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, demonstrating aptitude in both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, focused on building internal and external networks

To qualify for the role you must have

• A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in Valuation and Financial Modelling. Candidates with audit experience in the financial sector and a strong desire to learn are welcome.
• Good understanding of the financial services sector, including Banking, Insurance, Payments, Wealth and Asset Management, and Fintech.
• Strong knowledge of visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Spotfire), data modelling, and data transformation techniques.
• Familiarity with analytical techniques and tools for predictive and descriptive analytics (e.g., R, Python, VBA, SQL), with a preference for Python.
• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to new challenges in a collaborative team environment.

Ideally, you also have (or are pursuing)

• CA/CPA or CFA
• Experience in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve outs
• Experience gained within another large professional services organization
• Established networking skills in a relevant industry
