You will join the EY’s Salesforce team within Technology Consulting, working closely with communities of technology focussed professionals who work together to deliver this change, sharing modern engineering enablement and smart automation to optimise delivery and speed to outcome. These teams have deep functional knowledge and experience across our client’s core business functions, combined with deep technical skills to lead and deliver business outcome led high quality client solutions. Our management consultants and our technology consultants are the same – client focused, functional advice combined with technology enablement, one team, one dialogue, driving change and outcomes.
The role as a Salesforce Functional Consultant is a fantastic opportunity to get involved to define and deliver the transformation of our clients’ businesses, leveraging strong functional domain, business process and Salesforce platform expertise, into tangible business KPIs and outcomes and build digital solutions that drive value for their customers and employees.
You will play a key role in leading or supporting the development and strengthen existing client relationships and help our clients, who are leaders in the industry, navigate the complex finance issues facing their business. Your key responsibilities
Within the team, you'll work as part of a multi-disciplinary and high-performing team of problem solvers with extensive experience helping organisations solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution in one or more of the following areas:
Market / Client Centricity
Your role will be to focus on EY’s clients across various sectors, Financial Services, Corporates, Public Sector (Infrastructure, Government and Health) to drive opportunities, relationships and profitable revenue from Salesforce-led digital transformation service proposition. You will work to develop your own network and relationships at the client, understand their issues and, from that, develop robust functional capability maps, business domain alignment to Salesforce platform and solution delivery plans supported by sound commercial and resource models to deliver a high quality service and profitable revenue. You will work closely with other functional SMEs, Sector SMEs, programme leads, workstream leads, client stakeholders and your network at Salesforce itself and:

Identify and gather information on new client and sector issues through meetings and share this effectively within Salesforce and Tech Consulting.

Facilitate expansion of points of contact between EY, Salesforce and the client. Create, maintain and drive the execution of the relationship map and plan to develop many to many contacts.

Personally lead development of those relationships where EY has no existing relationship, introducing and supporting connections for specialists to then win work

Develop peer relationships with client project / programme managers, product owners, business change leads and other senior stakeholders, and together with the Salesforce, build executive level connections.

Help lead the scoping, shaping and sizing of EY’s bids and proposals, winning and delivering of customer and digital transformation engagements.
Functional Analysis & Design
-
Provide functional expertise and leadership in one or more business domains – e.g Sales Effectiveness, Marketing Automation, Service Excellence etc – leveraging the Salesforce platform and its ecosystem.

Provide functional expertise in one or more target sectors e.g. Life Sciences/Pharma, Insurance, Technology, Telecoms.

Lead business analysis of client’s current and to-be processes to define system/technology requirements using best practice and focus on maximising use of OOTB components

Drive functional/application designs and ensure technology solutions represent current and future business requirements

Support/lead the workstream to capture user requirements, conduct user reviews and run stakeholder alignment meetings.
People Leadership

Support the growth of knowledge within the team, sharing expertise and Salesforce-specific skills.

Focus on own development in terms of developing Salesforce skills and gaining certifications, as well as consulting soft skills.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have:
-
Minimum 6 - 10 years consulting experience leveraging the Salesforce platform, its ecosystem and other emerging technologies
-
Two Salesforce certifications
-
Ability to articulate the value of Salesforce as a platform in business to a non-technical audience in a clear and compelling fashion
-
Experience in designing and delivering solutions in the Salesforce ecosystem – including but not limited to core Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing) and leading ISV solutions
-
Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive
-
Demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail
-
Strong business analysis, problem solving and analytical skills
-
Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a dynamic environment
Ideally, you will also have:

Strong presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint

Project management experience

Industry specific knowledge (Pharma, Life Sciences, Financial Services)

Regulator experience (solution assurance)

Veeva CRM experience
-
Experience with one or more Salesforce Industry Clouds

Ability to facilitate requirements gathering workshops with clients to identify pain points and translate functional requirements to technical solutions

Good understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle and Agile waterfall methodologies

Ability to drive change and effectively manage projects and stakeholders

Strong organizational leadership and influencing skills
