You will join the EY’s Sustainability Technology team within Technology Consulting, working closely with communities of sustainability and technology focused professionals who work together to deliver this change, sharing modern engineering enablement and smart automation to optimise delivery and speed to outcome. We embed digital sustainability across people, process, and technology to enable more effective governance and efficient business operations. Our solution provides clients with sustainability digital services across ESG, EHS and Sustainability in collaboration with our EY Partner Ecosystem.
These teams have deep functional knowledge and experience across our client’s core business functions, combined with deep technical skills to lead and deliver business outcome led high quality client solutions. Our management consultants and our technology consultants are the same – client focused, functional advice combined with technology enablement, one team, one dialogue, driving change and outcomes.
Your key responsibilities
- As a Business Analyst, you will work with our clients to understand business goals and priorities, and to work with functional teams to formulate solutions to meet these goals.
- You will build valuable relationships with our clients through demonstrating exceptional delivery.
- You’ll also have the responsibility to help grow and win new business by contributing to proposals and client presentations.
- You will also get to draw on your skills and experience, creating innovative insights for clients looking to develop their change agenda to deliver value and improve their operations.

Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- At least 2 years' experience working within a consulting firm, industry or government organisation within local, European & US markets.
- Experience gathering, defining and documenting business and solution requirements for the enhancement, replacement, or introduction of IT systems.
- A strong academic record including a third level degree.
- Experience in one or more of our focus industries including Power & Utilities, Government & Public Sector, Financial Services, Life Sciences and Telecommunications & Media.
- Experience operating in a fast paced, multi-vendor environment in a client facing role.
- Experience in business development such as client relationship management and proposal support.
Ideally, you will also have experience in:
- Analysing systems and procedures, process design and modelling, and documenting ‘As is’ and ‘To be’ assessments for a Target Operating Model.
- EU sustainability regulation reporting including CSRD and EU Taxonomy
- Mapping data requirements for Sustainability reporting frameworks i.e. GRI, CDP, TCFD etc.
- Writing technical requirements and system mapping
- Waterfall and Agile methodologies, including the creation of User Stories or Use Cases and working closely with a Product Owner.
- Conducting workshops and interviews.
- Stakeholder management and working collaboratively with Development and Testing teams to deliver high quality solutions that meet client and user business needs.
- Delivery of large-scale business/technology programmes and ideally in ERP or CRM implementations (Microsoft, ServiceNow, Wolters Kluwer & SAP).
