The Team and the opportunity

As a Director within our Digital Manufacturing team, where you will lead the growth of our manufacturing and industry consulting capability across Ireland while supporting global client engagements. Reporting to the Digital Manufacturing Technology Partner, you will build trusted client relationships, lead complex technology-enabled transformation programmes, and help organisations unlock value through digital innovation and operational excellence. As a senior leader, you will also play a key role in developing our people, market presence, and industry-leading Digital Manufacturing offering.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead the growth and strategic direction of EY Ireland’s Digital Manufacturing practice, including go-to-market planning and capability development.
• Build and expand a market-leading consulting offering focused on digital transformation across regulated and advanced manufacturing industries.
• Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline, driving new business opportunities and growing strategic client accounts.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across manufacturing, operations, supply chain, quality, engineering, and technology functions.
• Lead the development and delivery of Digital Manufacturing solutions, including Manufacturing 4.0, Smart Factory, MES, Digital Operations, ISA-95, and advanced analytics.
• Collaborate across EY service lines and alliance partners to deliver integrated transformation programmes and innovative industry solutions.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of digital manufacturing consultants, providing coaching, mentoring, and career development.
• Represent EY in the market through industry forums, conferences, client engagements, and global account collaboration to drive growth and thought leadership.

Skills and attributes for success

12+ years of relevant experience in the below –

• Extensive experience leading digital transformation programmes within manufacturing, supply chain, or operations environments.
• Strong knowledge of Digital Manufacturing concepts, including Manufacturing 4.0, Smart Factory, MES, ISA-95, digital operations, and industrial analytics.
• Proven business development experience, with a track record of building sales pipelines, winning new business, and growing strategic accounts.
• Deep understanding of regulated and advanced manufacturing sectors such as Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Chemicals, FMCG, or Food & Beverage.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence senior client executives and C-suite leaders.
• Experience building and leading high-performing consulting teams, including recruitment, mentoring, and resource management.
• Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, profitability, and investment decisions.
• Ability to build strategic alliances and partnerships while driving innovation, continuous improvement, and market-leading client solutions.
