Role Summary
- Lead the EY Ireland Incident Response solution set across multiple clients and sectors.
- Address immediate Cyber requirements including investigation and breach of their technology, systems, and information sources.
- Support clients IT teams to respond to cyber security events; this may involve knowledge of SIEM, EDR, XDR tools, forensics, and reconstruction of event timeline and containment actions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to IR team members, through culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to IR, and recommend enhancements to existing processes and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee incident response strategies and actions to ensure that cyber events are assessed, contained, mitigated, and reported.
- Supervise the monitoring, analysis, and prioritization of security events, working closely with clients to keep them updated and informed.
- Identify and recommend practical solutions and enhancements for complex challenges, including business and IT alignment in response to events.
- Experienced in managing delivery, budgets while balancing quality client outcomes, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Committed to promoting diversity and inclusiveness.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- EDR technologies and tools, ability to conduct engagements using Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) technologies – Defender, CrowdStrike, Sentinel etc.
- Strong management skills to oversee multiple IR workstreams, timely delivery and adherence to budget managing organizational change and user training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with IT, security, and business teams, and present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 8+ years in Incident Response domains and deep product understanding of CISSP, GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, GREM.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams

- The hourly pay range for this job, in the US, is $XXX per hour. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
