Introduction to the team
The Programme Risk and Recovery team are experts in the field of project and programme risk assessment and recovery in EY’s Risk Management practice. Key Responsibilities
Client Responsibilities:
- Manage and support assessments of projects, programmes, or portfolios on medium-to-large scale transformation initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams, understanding priorities and culture to enable effective risk management and delivery.
- Deliver high-quality work products consistently, reinforcing EY’s global reputation.
- Contribute subject matter insights to proposals and presentations for medium-to-high complexity projects.
- Provide innovative ideas and adapt methods to client needs, contributing to thought leadership.
- Support engagement-level Quality & Risk Management (QRM) initiatives and ensure compliance with EY standards.
Internal Responsibilities:
- Assisting in client account management activities such as recruitment for the project team, managing financial aspects of client engagements, and quality and risk management.
- Building valued relationships with clients and colleagues to assist in generating new business opportunities for EY.
- Leading and supporting presentations and proposals for elements of medium to high complex projects to prospective and existing clients.
- Communicating effectively with EY senior management and working to build, manage and motivate high-performing teams.
- Understanding EY’s service offerings and actively identifying opportunities to better serve our clients.
- Building strong internal relationships within Risk Management and across other services lines.
- Supporting team development activities, including:
- Supporting, coaching, and mentoring activities.
- Conducting performance reviews and contributing to performance feedback.
- Contributing to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training activities.
- Understanding, following and communicating workplace policies and procedures.
Skills and Attributes Required to Apply for this role:
- 5 to 10+ years experience in project risk or programme delivery, recovery for the delivery of technology projects in consulting, industry, or the public sector.
- Some Programme Assurance (project health check) experience.
- Track record for delivering large scale transformation projects
- Track record for leading high performing teams
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with a track record in managing complex stakeholder programmes.
- Good understanding of project governance and change management principles.
- Strong 3rd level educational qualifications.
Ideally, you will also have:
- Professional certifications such as PRINCE2®, PMP, MSP, or ACP.
- Knowledge of Project Assurance, Portfolio Management, PMO, benchmarking, and best practices.
