The Opportunity
As a Transfer Pricing Assistant Manager, you’ll join a growing team supporting a wide range of multinational clients across sectors including financial services, technology, life sciences, consumer products, and more. You’ll collaborate closely with international tax specialists across the EY network to deliver integrated transfer pricing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Transfer Pricing Compliance & Documentation
- Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation (Local File, Master File, benchmarking analyses).
- Design, implement and document TP policies and strategies.
- Conduct functional interviews and factual analyses to understand clients’ value chains.
- Assist with global TP documentation projects and BEPS Action 13 requirements.
Advisory & Planning
- Advise clients on the TP implications of new business models, restructurings, intercompany agreements, and cross-border arrangements.
- Prepare financial models and economic analyses to support TP positions.
- Conduct debt capacity assessments, interest rate benchmarking, and financial transactions analyses.
- Support clients in tax audits and revenue authority reviews; assist with Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) processes.
Client Engagement & Project Management
- Manage multiple engagements simultaneously to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
- Build strong relationships with clients and key internal stakeholders.
- Lead junior team members by providing coaching, guidance, and review support.
Collaboration & Network Engagement
- Work closely with international transfer pricing teams across the EY global network.
- Collaborate with tax, law, strategy & transactions, and assurance colleagues to provide integrated solutions.
Skills & Attributes for Success
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience interpreting financial statements and building financial models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to high-quality client service and continuous learning.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse, international teams.
To Qualify for the Role, You Will Need
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in transfer pricing or international tax (Big 4 or industry experience beneficial).
- Professional qualification: ACA/ACCA/CTA/equivalent (or progressing toward qualification).
- Knowledge of OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and local Irish TP rules.
- Experience with TP databases (e.g., Refinitiv, Moody’s BvD, etc.) desirable.
