The team and the opportunity
We are recruiting for a number of large global SAP S/4HANA implementations.
Amongst a variety of exciting career opportunities available within our SAP practice, we are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Consultant at Senior Manager or Director level to join our Dublin SAP team.
As a Senior Manager in EY, you will become a key member of our SAP team. Your role will be focused primarily on the delivery of SAP services to a large global client implementing SAP S/4HANA. Secondary focus will be on support and broader practice development. In this role, you will help develop high-performing individuals and teams, leading and supporting them to deliver exceptional client services.
You will play a key role in supporting the development and strengthen existing client relationships and help our clients, who are leaders in the Financial Services industry, navigate the complex finance issues facing their business. Your key responsibilities

  • Advising clients on current and future SAP needs, including S/4HANA business case, business transformation, roadmap, and implementation
  • Leading design workshops to gain a clear understanding of our client’s industry and business requirements, and to design and implement appropriate best practice solutions
  • Supporting business process re-engineering, particularly in the S/4HANA Finance space
  • Sharing knowledge of best practice within the group and across other disciplines in the firm, as well as developing other members of the SAP team
  • Playing a key role in planning and managing client projects throughout all phases
  • Be a part of a large team that supports different streams of work for all the SAP Projects
  • Responsible for maintaining current relationships with the client and build new ones by identifying new opportunities
  • Supporting the development of the SAP practice, including leading internal team activities, and facilitating external client events

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in SAP Finance implementations in a Consulting or similar external client facing environment
  • Proven experience in implementing SAP finance processes such as new general ledger, finance general ledger processing, accruals, bank accounting, asset accounting, management accounting (CO), profitability analysis, cash management, credit management and budgeting / planning
  • A solid understanding of core financial processes and the implementation of best practice solutions in the SAP Finance space.
  • Experience of working in a Managed Service environment
  • Experience with (or demonstrable understanding of S/4HANA Finance, including the key benefits and implementation scenarios

 

Ideally, you will also have:

  • A third level qualification in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • SAP FICO certification, Project Management certification is desirable
  • Implementation experience of SAP Central Finance would be beneficial
