We are currently seeking applications from suitable candidates to join EY’s Tax & Law practice at Senior Manager Level within the Tax Technology Transformation (TTT) team. 

 

The TTT Senior Manager for Tax & Law Ireland will be responsible for leading and managing a range of transformation initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and technological capabilities of our Tax & Law practice. This role involves collaborating closely with our clients, service line leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure that client engagements and transformation initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The TTT Senior Manager will be responsible for driving and managing the activities of the TTT team members and will report to the overall TTT Leader for Tax & Law Ireland. The TTT Senior Manager will be instrumental in driving change, optimising processes, and implementing technology solutions that align with our strategic objectives, particularly in driving AI initiatives, to drive process optimisation and an enhanced client experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead client discussions and engagements to identify and scope transformation opportunities that enhance the client relationship.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of transformation projects within the Tax & Law service line.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Have a deep technology background and understanding of development & analytics lifecycles, Enterprise Data Management, Agile teams, and EY platforms such as GTP.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and technical solutions and associated communication documents.
  • Effectively communicate project and technical expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Lead and mentor TTT team members to enhance their knowledge and expertise leveraging the principles of Highly Effective Teams.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

 

What we look for

 

  • Proven abilities to collaborate with clients to devise, present and explain Tax technical solutions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven technical development & project management experience in a professional services environment, preferably within the Tax & Law sector.
  • Understanding of the Tax & Law business and its regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading technology implementation projects that leverage global cloud-based platforms.
  • Excellent team leadership and team mentorship skills with an ability to create highly effective and engaged teams.
  • Familiarity with the latest technology trends relevant to the Tax & Law industry, such as AI, data management and data analytics.
  • A background in Tax & Law software technologies, either through education or professional experience.

Additional Qualifications:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in technology or a related field; a master's degree or professional qualification would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge and experience of collaborating with clients and teams within the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and experience in driving technology change within an organization.
  • An initiative-taking and inclusive approach to problem-solving and the ability to anticipate future challenges.
