EY Ireland is looking for an outstanding Senior Graphic Designer to join our in-house creative team.

 

Creative is EY Ireland in-house creative department leading the visual identity and production of key go-to-market campaigns and events. We are a multifaceted team including graphic design, presentation design, animation, filming, photography, and broadcast.

A normal day for the Senior Graphic Designer will involve creating and developing creative concepts/visual identities for key campaigns, guiding stakeholders on the best solution to their problems, mentoring junior members of the team and working closely with the Design Lead and Production Coordinator(s) to ensure the delivery of assets in time and form.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Creating conceptual visuals and ideas to support core campaigns
  • Driving quality, creativity, and influence clients to choose effective design solutions
  • Lead and execute strategic projects across multiple platforms working collaboratively across the creative team and with stakeholders
  • Facilitate or attend design briefings to help stakeholders get to the root of their problems
  • Promote awareness of EY’s visual identity, maintaining the integrity of the global brand
  • Develop and manage relationships while working collaboratively with stakeholders and teams you engage with
  • In liaison with Design Lead & Operations delegate appropriate tasks to supporting members of the Creative team
  • Coach, mentor and provide guidance to members of the Creative team
  • Contribute to fostering an energetic, fun, creative culture within the team and be an ambassador for us
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with our digital and print suppliers ensuring that deliverables meet the exact requirements specified
  • Support the team’s leadership with initiatives where required
  • Be a self-starter, someone who can identify opportunities and problems while addressing them effectively

 

 

Skills and technical abilities:

 

  • Ability to create conceptual visuals and ideas to support core campaigns and a portfolio* that showcases this skill
  • 4-5 years’ experience (minimum) in an in-house team, agency or freelance
  • A qualification in Visual Communications or related discipline
  • Experience of producing supporting assets for varied digital assets, including interactive assets
  • Experience in multiple print production techniques
  • Experience in maintaining solid colleague and stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent skills in all Adobe CC applications
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe After Effects to be able to support small motion design projects
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office especially PowerPoint
  • An ability to respond positively and calmly to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
  • Demonstrate an understanding of business objectives and the impact they have on the project(s) in hand

As part of the hiring process, we will be asking candidates invited to second round interviews to complete a small design task to showcase design thinking and MAC competency.
