Resource Deployment Consultant, AM

 

The RDC is a business partner to client servers and engagement leaders with responsibility for demand requests and fulfilment. Focus on employee experience led resourcing while maintaining a commercial mindset.

 

The RDC is the first point of contact and go-to person for all resource matters on a day-to-day basis with primary stakeholders including Competency Leads, Operations Leads, Engagement Managers, SL Ops Leads, Sector and Account Leads. The RDS is responsible for escalating any issues and concerns to their Resource Manager but is expected to resolve issues themselves in the majority. 
 
Main Responsibilities

  • Review all requests within 48 hours to prioritise and acknowledge receipt.
  • Manage the allocation of all chargeable roles via ProFinda platform.
  • Ensure all demand within designated sectors and accounts are logged in ProFinda platform,
  • Work with designated account, sector, and engagements leads to ensure accuracy of Retain forecast.
  • Conduct weekly touchpoints with Competency Leads on capacity planning and allocation of chargeable resources.
  • Oversee non-chargeable activities e.g., vacation, internal activity etc.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of prior week performance, feeding insights into Resource Manager and agreeing any necessary actions.
  • Assess availability and proactively escalate capacity issues to the Resource Manager.
  • Review non-chargeable time and highlight any areas of concern to the Resource Manager.
  • Participate in and populate data / information for team and SL operations meetings as required.
  • Mediate between conflicting requests and present creative solutions to resolve.


Supply and demand management

  • Conduct weekly calls with competency operations leads to determine accurate view of current and upcoming bench.
  • Engage with competency operations leads to gain understanding of skillsets of bench resources.
  • Work with RCs to ensure Retain updates are actioned, with a focus on forecasting accuracy.
  • Acknowledge all ProFinda roles within 24 hours and apply knowledge of people and the business to shortlist roles in ProFinda within 48 hours.
  • Actively engage with ProFinda role owners to determine progress of and feedback from shortlists, reviewing and re-submitting as necessary
  • Drive engagement with ProFinda by proactively engaging with Engagement managers to understand pipeline requirements, ensuring roles are logged and effective two-way communication on status is maintained.
  • Engage with SL Markets function to review upcoming demand, connecting with designated sector and account leads to ensure demand is appropriately logged, resourced, and forecast.

 
Commercial reporting and analysis

  • Providing SL Operations Leadership with insights on Retain variances on a weekly basis.
  • Analyse forecasting tools and take informed actions to improve future utilisation forecasts.
  • Review prior week metrics and respond to queries from the business on any anomalies.
  • Acknowledge receipt and action day to day resourcing queries, utilising the Resourcing reporting suite and escalating to the resourcing manager as required.

 
Contribute to an exceptional team.

  • Bring best practice thinking to the wider Resourcing function. 
  • Foster a teaming environment by actively engaging and communicating with Resourcing Team members.
  • Implement and monitor quality compliance to resourcing processes within the SL.
  • Coach and develop RDC’s, their understanding of reporting, and provide context for activities.
  • Become an SME on resourcing processes and procedures to educate and inform the business.
