 The EY Education Team is responsible for managing the professional qualification routes available in Ireland, in the best interest of the firm and its graduates.  The principal qualifications supported by the EY Ed Team include CAI, ACCA, CAI and CIMA.  This is an exciting opportunity to learn about the graduate development programmes which are an integral part of EY. As a training firm for Chartered Accountants, EY provides trainees with a challenging and supportive learning environment.

 

The role of the Professional Qualifications Specialist is to work with trainees and business leaders to ensure our exam offering delivers appropriate support to enable trainees achieve exam success and to be best in class. We work in line with academic calendars and events meaning no month or week is the same providing great variety as we progress through the academic year from registrations and inductions, to training workshops and exam support, through to exam results, exam celebrations and admission to memberships.  As part of the internal exam strategy devised by the EY Ed Team, we offer our graduates best in class training opportunities through Faculty EY (internal business school). You will be responsible for helping to drive our Faculty EY programme and a key enabler in supporting students pass their professional qualification exams on first attempt.   As part of the wider Talent Development team you will also have the opportunity to support the broader development curriculum, programmes and initiatives at EY. 

 

  

Working as part of a team, your primary responsibilities will include:

 

  • Implement the administrative function of the team in the following key areas: 
    • Maintenance of data and files.
    • Handling of Ed Team mailbox queries.
    • Monitoring and reporting on course attendance, performance, regulatory compliance and examinations.
    • Delivery of the in-house exam support programme.
    • Collating trainee feedback.
    • Training contract registration, expiration, transfer and termination.
    • Processing course and exam enrolments and fees. 
    • CA Diary compliance

 

  • Act as an exam subject matter expert to the business leaders providing guidance and coaching on key issues and a key point of contact for the relevant institutes
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including the various Professional Bodies, EY Partners and trainees, and colleagues across the broader EY Talent community to leverage capacity, capability and content, as appropriate
  • Operate the exam results process and ensure delivery of policy outcomes
  • Assist with the implementation of appropriate initiatives to ensure strong exam results can be achieved and maintained
  • Facilitate face-to-face discussions with senior management and trainees either individually or in focus groups
  • Support the administration of the Firm Supported Education program
  • Operate the study leave process and handling of study leave queries
  • Implement the Professional Qualification policies
  • Implementation and improvement of the professional qualification procedures and processes – working with our TSS (Talent Shared Services team).
  • Work and support cross function projects to meet our overall Talent strategy

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and capable of maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong IT skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint (strong excel skills are mandatory)
  • Experience in professional qualifications, professional Institutes and/or third level education or a related role.
  • Comfortable with managing multiple tasks and an ability to deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to learn new processes and skills quickly
  • Excellent team player- ability to integrate and build effective relationships at all levels
  • Ability to build strong relationships with leadership and key stakeholders
