The opportunity 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Managed Services Director to join our team at EY. This is a senior leadership role focused on driving growth through client engagement, business development, and thought leadership in the finance domain. You will play a pivotal role in shaping EY’s market presence by leading strategic pursuits, developing credentials, and building trusted relationships with client finance leaders. This is an opportunity to influence the future of finance transformation and deliver exceptional value to our clients.

Your key responsibilities 

• Client Relationship Management
  
  • Act as a senior point of contact for C-suite executives, building trust and credibility through consistent engagement and value delivery. Develop deep understanding of client business models, priorities, and pain points to tailor solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
• Sales and Market Development
  
  • Lead strategic pursuits and proposals, leveraging EY’s global Finance Managed Services capabilities to differentiate in the market. Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities and expanding EY’s footprint in target sectors. Collaborate with EY’s sector and service line leaders to align offerings with market trends and client needs.
• Engagement Leadership
  
  • Ensure successful delivery of Finance ‘operate and transform’ engagements, focusing on quality, innovation, transformation, and client satisfaction. Oversee governance, risk management, and compliance aspects of engagements to maintain EY’s reputation for excellence. Build client credentials through impactful case studies and thought leadership, showcasing EY’s ability to deliver transformation at scale.
• Team Leadership and Development
  
  • Empower high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop talent within Finance Operations, ensuring alignment with EY’s future skills strategy.

Skills and attributes for success 

• Deep Expertise in Finance & Accounting: Comprehensive experience of finance processes, financial reporting, planning, performance management, and regulatory frameworks. 
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-country engagements and manage senior client relationships. 
• Transformation Leadership: Proven experience in leading large-scale finance operations and transformation programs, including technology enablement. 
• Market-Facing Acumen: Strong ability to engage with senior client stakeholders, influence decision-making, and articulate EY’s value proposition. 
• Business Growth Mindset: Demonstrated success in driving business development and achieving targets. 
• Relationship Management: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and long-term partnerships. 
• Strategic Thinking & Execution: Ability to translate complex challenges into actionable strategies and deliver measurable outcomes. 
• Professional Credentials: ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification preferred; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Strong understanding of finance technologies, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in Finance Operations. 
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to operate at board level.
