We are looking for professionals who can collaborate effectively across business, risk, compliance, operations, and technology functions and who are comfortable operating within complex and fast-changing regulatory environments.

We are seeking experienced Risk Consulting Directors to help lead and grow our Financial Services Risk Consulting business. This role is suited to senior professionals who combine deep technical expertise with a proven track record of developing client relationships, leading complex transformation programmes and driving commercial growth.

 

Background & opportunity:

  • Financial Services organisations are responding to increased regulatory scrutiny, evolving customer expectations, technological disruption and the need to strengthen governance, controls and risk management capability.
  • Our practice supports clients in redesigning risk management capabilities, strengthening governance and control environments and delivering large-scale regulatory change and remediation programmes.
  • Directors will play a leading role in shaping our market proposition and working directly with Executive, CRO, Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Controls Officer and Transformation leadership teams across the sector.

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex client engagements across risk, compliance, financial crime and fraud, controls and regulatory transformation.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with C-suite and senior executive stakeholders.
  • Drive sales growth through market development, opportunity origination and proposal leadership.
  • Shape and oversee large-scale regulatory remediation, financial crime and fraud risk transformation, broader risk transformation and controls transformation programmes.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across multiple client engagements and capability areas.
  • Build market propositions aligned to evolving regulatory priorities, supervisory expectations and client demand.
  • Actively contribute to practice strategy, talent development and leadership across Financial Services Risk Consulting.

  • Regulatory Transformation and Regulatory Change.
  • Non-Financial Risk Transformation and Operational Risk.
  • Compliance and Conduct Risk.
  • Financial Crime and Fraud Risk, including financial crime controls, fraud risk management, AML, sanctions, transaction monitoring, customer due diligence and financial crime transformation where relevant.
  • Process and Controls Transformation.
  • Enterprise Risk Management and Risk Governance.
  • Prudential Risk, including capital, liquidity, credit risk or model risk exposure where relevant.
  • Operational Resilience, DORA, regulatory remediation and technology-enabled risk transformation.
  • GRC enablement, workflow automation, risk analytics and controls digitisation.

 

 

Skills and Attributes for Success

 

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Typically, 10+ years of relevant experience within Financial Services, Risk Consulting, regulatory advisory, compliance, financial crime and fraud risk, risk management or large-scale transformation environments.
  • Proven experience leading complex client or internal transformation programmes.
  • Strong executive stakeholder management capability and ability to influence senior decision makers.
  • Demonstrated commercial capability, including sales origination, proposal development and account growth.
  • Experience building, managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of the Irish and/or UK financial services regulatory environment.

  • Create and convert market opportunities aligned to priority growth areas.
  • Provide senior oversight to ensure high-quality client delivery and sustainable outcomes.
