About the role:

The Technical Delivery Lead will lead the delivery of complex technology transformation initiatives across financial services clients. This consolidated role brings together delivery leadership across banking platforms, payments, cards, channels, credit and adjacent domains, with a focus on large-scale transformation, full SDLC delivery and practical client outcomes.

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical delivery of complex financial services technology projects from inception through design, build, test, deployment, and post-launch support.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, product owners, engineering leads, test leads, vendors, and client stakeholders to drive delivery.
  • Develop and maintain detailed delivery plans, track progress, manage scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery quality.
  • Ensure successful completion of major delivery activities, tasks and deliverables across requirements, analysis, solution design, build, testing, and deployment.
  • Apply strong delivery discipline across SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models.
  • Operate effectively in fast-paced, multi-vendor environments and support pragmatic decision-making across competing priorities.
  • Communicate delivery progress, risks, and decisions clearly to senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and delivery excellence.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends to drive innovation.

 

 

Skills and Attributes for Success

 

To qualify for the role, you must have: 

  • 8+ years of experience in technology delivery or technical project management within financial services or other complex regulated environments.
  • Experience across large-scale technology transformation, with proven involvement across the full software delivery lifecycle.
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management across business, technology, architecture, engineering, engineering, testing, and delivery teams.
  • Knowledge and proven experience of IT Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and to high quality standards.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail.
  • Experience in delivering business value from technology and communicating that value to senior business stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong academic record including a third-level degree, preferably in IT or a relevant field.

 

 

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Previous consulting experience is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience across one or more of the following is preferred: Core Banking, Payments, Channels, Credit, Financial Crime.
