In EY FS Ireland, we are expanding our Consulting practice and building our Technology Consulting team as a key component of our NextWave Strategy. Your key responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst with an expertise in Banking and / or Credit domain. The ideal candidate will be adept at understanding business needs, defining requirements, and analysing complex processes to implement effective banking and/or credit solutions.

  • Work with FS clients to develop and prioritise change requirements (epics and user stories) and document same
  • Work with FS clients to develop supporting design documentation e.g. process maps, decision papers, customer journey artefacts, business cases
  • Help clients align project outcomes with technology/business strategy by acting as an intermediary between business and technology stakeholders
  • Help identify problems, opportunities and ideate methods for improving existing business processes and workflows
  • Work with Product Owners and scrum team members to drive requirements (user stories) through the full delivery lifecycle (design, build, test and deploy)
  • Prepare, review, and analyse testing / test phase outputs e.g. test scenarios, defect triage etc.
  • Resolve moderate to high complexity issues that occur during the functional and / or technical design process
  • Manage and develop relationships with key stakeholders across business, technology and other areas e.g. Risk
  • Become a subject matter resource in the technology and domain (i.e. Lending) you work in / on
  • Be a key team player in supporting other project deliverables e.g. training, non-functional testing, data mapping
  • Stay abreast of latest banking / credit industry trends to drive innovation in the company.
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
     

 

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Knowledge and working experience one or more of the following financial domain areas and products 
  • Possess strong experience within the Banking and Lending Industry

  • Jira, Confluence 
  • MS Office, Visio

  • MS Visual Studio

 

Key Requirements:

  • Have at least 5 years within a blue-chip consulting firm, industry or government organisation
  • Strong track record in consulting or Business Analysis with Banking Platform implementation experience
  • Experience conducting analysis, requirement and design workshops
  • Have experience operating in a fast paced, multi-vendor environment
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, working collaboratively with Development and Testing teams to deliver high quality solutions that meet client and user business needs 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, including the creation of User Stories and working closely with a Product Owner 
  • Have ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Experience with functional and technical design
  • Have a strong academic record including a third level degree, preferably in an IT related area
  • Agile certification (CSPO) and/or BA certifications e.g. IIBA

  
 

Ideally, you’ll also have experience in one or more of the following: 

  • Completing Technology/Business Architecture documentation
  • Have ability to build and manage relationships across business and technology stakeholders
