About the role:
The Technology Consultant role supports strategic technology initiatives, delivery programmes and client transformation work across major financial services organisations. The role is suited to candidates who can bridge business and technology agendas, contribute to requirements and delivery activity, and help clients achieve measurable outcomes from technology change.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Technology Consulting teams on transformation projects across Payments, Banking and Credit, Digital and Channels, and technology-enabled delivery.
- Engage with FS clients to understand business needs, define requirements, and analyse complex processes to implement effective solutions.
- Develop and prioritise change requirements, epics, and user stories, and create supporting design documentation such as process maps, decision papers, customer journey artefacts, and business cases.
- Act as an intermediary between business and technology stakeholders to align project outcomes with technology and business strategy.
- Contribute to technology assessments, strategy development, and project execution.
- Work with Product Owners and scrum teams to drive requirements through design, build, test, and deployment.
- Prepare, review, and analyse testing outputs, including test scenarios and defect triage.
- Support proposals, internal knowledge development, and thought leadership activity under guidance.
Skills and Attributes for Success
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in technology delivery, digital transformation, IT advisory, business analysis, or technology consulting.
- Exposure to SDLC delivery methods, including Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Ability to engage effectively with business and technology stakeholders and communicate clearly across disciplines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Eagerness to pursue relevant professional certifications across Agile, project management or technology domains.
Ideally, you will also have:
- Experience working with a top consulting firm or leading financial services or technology organisation.
- Experience and/or exposure to one or more products such as nCino, Finacle, Temenos, Salesforce, Algo Product Suite, FIS, Finastra, Dovetail, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar products.
- Experience across one or more of following domain areas: Core Banking, Payments, Channels, Credit or Financial Crime.
- Internships or work placements at leading consulting, financial services, or technology companies.
